From Mexico, With Love

Hola amigos!!!
We've been having the bestest time in Mexico City with our family and some friends!
On Friday, we took a road trip to Teotihuacan, which was awe-inspiring. We are just so amazed at everything that these ancient civilizations were able to accomplish - thousands of years ago.
We love the Mexican people, culture and history, and we're thrilled to be able to get to spend some time here.
And we're actually enjoying it!
Unlike some of our other recent trips, we've been actually able to - and made the decision - to go out and explore, not just work and enjoy it.
We climbed all the way to the top of the Pyramid of the Sun - and we weren't even too winded! Ha
After exploring the many ancient ruins at Teotihuacan, we made a pilgrimage to La Basilica de Guadalupe, where hundreds of years ago the Virgin Mary appeared to Juan Diego.
Pretty powerful stuff! This former Jesuit-schooled boy loved it.
We've also been sampling a lot of the local cuisine, which we're gonna pay for next week in the gym. But, fuck it, we work way way way hard. Life should be lived and enjoyed.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE MEXICO CITY! if you get the chance go to Coyoacan and see Frida Khalos house! and definately go party in La Zona Rosa. Its the mexican west hollywood! and enjoy the food! just think that its not fattening because the food in mexico is made fresh and has less perservatives than american food…therefor its better…jaja and just climed the pyramid of the sun..therefore you burned off lots of calories that im sure you can splurge a little…..yay!

I totally went shopping at Walmart at 4am and got about 20 DVDs for $2 each! How crazy is that? And I FINALLY got an iPod. Finally. A cute little Robin Egg Blue 8G Nano (3rd gen. - the little fat one).
Perez: go party to the Condesa neighborhood and also to the bars and restaurants in Bosques de las Lomas, Polanco and Santa Fe.
If you're looking for awesome beaches with great attitude: Puerto Escondido and Playa del Carmen. You'll definitely love it there.
