      Some of you commenters disgust me! First of all this is a young girl singing her heart out and she did a tremendous job. How many of the artists that have been in the business for years and years flopped on this song when she did great. And to call a teen girl a twat, no matter what she's done is absolutely ridiculous and immature. As far as Miley Cyrus goes, while she has some talent and has been able to cash in on it, she's not that good. I have an issue with how she presents herself to those that are impressionable. It's nice to see a girl who is becoming a role model to these young girls actually hold some morals and values that they can look up to.

      I am really surprised at people, can't you tell when a person can actually sing? How can a person have a powerful voice and not be able to sing?! That's a paradox - you have to have a powerful voice to be able to belt out the National Anthem in a huge stadium that seats 50,000 people and she did very well. There were two or three spots where she fell a little flat, but for a teenage girl, that's a pretty good voice - she has a nice, powerful mezzo-soprano voice, that granted needs a bit more developing, but is already very nice.

      Miley Cyrus in contrast has a rather thin voice, definitely nowhere as good as Demi Lovato. She has some talent, but is most definitely overrated as a singer.

      I am surprised that next to Christina Aguilera, Disney could actually bring out another star who has actual talent. With Disney, that doesn't happen too often.

I must ask though, why does everyone have to add individual arias and glissando to the song, among other horrible additives?       She needs some improving but singing the star spangled banner has got to be the hardest for an artist to do. you'll never see madge up there I think she did a great job for someone her age.
