OBAMA gonna fix it. FIX IT!

  2. 2

    How thrilling.

  3. 3

I do not think it was just Bush, I think it is a combination of greedy people in the past, among them most all politicians, auto makers, banks, housing organizations, oil companies, etc. a combo of many things.

  4. 4

    Hello everyone!!!!

  5. 5

    scary times.

  6. 6

Re: bango skanks – hey bango.

  7. 7

how can you blame just the president? I'm not a bush supporter but there are plenty of other people who have messed up as bad as him. Like congress and everyone else in Washington!

  8. 8

    Like DUH!

  9. 9

you are one smart fag perez……where did you get your degree in economics?

  10. 10

  13. 13

  14. 14

When is Obama going to fix it? What is taking him so long!

  15. MP says – reply to this

Bush is partially to blame, but he's only one piece of a very large pie. The housing debacle actually began under President Clinton. Not everyone has the right to own a home, which is what many in government believe.

  16. 16

Funny how Bush is the blame. The Dems controlled Congress the last 2 years. Did you know that Barney Frank had an affair with the head of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae?? Its sex ,money and power that rules. With shady people like Frank in power, nothing will be fixed. So many corrupt politicians with their hands in the cookie jar.

  17. 17

    wow….really….i didnt notice….

    nothing new here

  18. 18

sorry perez but I think you need to become more educated on just about everything. You can't blame 1 person for all that is bad, but hey I guess that is why you run a gossip website and not anything that ou need half a brain cell for.

  19. SuzyP says – reply to this

    Thanks, I hadn't noticed…. LOL

  20. nubsy says – reply to this

i'm no bush fan, but really business cycles are natural. this one had some help from others, but bush isn't to blame for the recession. talk to bernanke for constantly cutting rates and reducing foreign investments in america, and all the democrats who loosened fannie and freddie's restrictions. also, blame opec for the sky high oil prices earlier this year. bush is very minimally responsible for the economy. and obama won't fix it either because it's not the president's job.

  21. 21

I'm screwed by the "recession".. I've been out of work for a month now and there are no job prospects in sight. It's about time they finally say what we've all known.

  22. GNAT says – reply to this

Blame Bush… interesting how people without backgrounds in economics think that the economy is all about the president.

  23. 23

  24. 24

Considering how simplistic and ill-informed your opinions on any kind of political matter are (and this one is no exception), perhaps you should stick to drawing cocaine and semen on people's faces with MS Paint, rather than trying to sit at the grown-ups' table.

  25. 25

blame your democratic president from before. BILL CLINTON. America was already in financial trouble starting Bush's term. you people just dont feel it till now. and Obama is gonna make it worse! so go to college!

  26. 26

the buck stops w/ the Commander and Chief, Bush. Bush and the greedy rich robbed this country blind.

  27. 27

YAY!!!! Lower prices for us all although I'm sure credit card intrest rates won't come down, Damn.

  28. 28

that;s nothing new….we've been in a recession since last year…financial experts and the government were to chicken to admit it…

  29. 29

  30. 30

It's not Bush's fault A-hole. Blame the corrupt & greedy CEO's, the politicians in Congress that "turn the other cheek" and the morons that took out $600,000 mortgages that can't pay for them.

  31. 31

BO and Manchelle to the rescue.

  32. 32

G.W. is the kind of person that I might just have fun playin with. Know what I mean. He's a bad bad boy.

  33. 33

You are a fucktard! I'm sure that it has NOTHING to do with the Democratic Congress that took over 2 years ago? DUH! Stay away from politics and stick to what you THINK you know. How come no word lately on Prop 8? did the Gay groups ask you to cease and desist?

  34. 34

The recession has nothing to do with Bush. That's an ignorant comment P…

I wonder when something bad happens while Obama is in office if you'll say 'Blame Obama'. Somehow I doubt it.

  35. 35

I hope the title was sarcastic. Or you're a moron.

  36. 36

Hate to break the news to you but it got shitty when the Dems took over congress. Blame yourselves for voting for them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  37. buck says – reply to this

Obama be fixing it. He promised me a check!! Where my money Obama!!!

  38. 38

did you yanks not know before voting bush in that he had bankrupted every company he had anything to do with>> and this is his crowning glory to bankrupt the us of a

  39. 39

I love u Perez, but if you were actually informed…you would know that the economy is in the state that it is in because of BILL CLINTON!

  40. ??? says – reply to this

George W Bush = WORST President ever!!!! Somewhere in Texas a village is missing it's idiot.

  41. ??? says – reply to this

Re: harley1 – We had a f*cking surplus when Clinton left office. It took a democrat to get us out of the Great Depression

  42. 42

Really?! You don't say! haven't a million people been stating that fact since spring? You know we had expert "economists" citing 1% gain as a sign of NOT being in a recession defending the spiraling economy b/c FOX news says we were ok. It pays to have faith in your own observation not brainwshed on BS.

  43. 43

It's not Bush's fault. It was a combonation of greedy bankers and decisions made by the house of represenatives.

  44. 44

*sigh* another idiotic remark from a Democrat. Typical. Don't put the blame where it belongs (Clinton Administration). The next 8 years will be a reflection of Bush, not Obama. Don't forget that. So if 8 years from now our economy is in a recession, then you can start blaming. But until then, it is your Democratic president that made this happen.

  45. KSC says – reply to this

Greed is the blame, not just Bush. Ridiculous to try to blame something like this on one man. Educate yourself!

  46. KSC says – reply to this

    LMAO at TorontoMike….

  47. 47

Again PEREZ, you show your complet and total lack of political competance. You really need to stop sucking some cock for 2 min and get an education. You cannot blame just one man for all this. Bush is not the Econimic "over-lord" you dumbass. Its not even the evil oil companies. They only make 10 cents per dollar and the gov makes 80 cents. Study supply and demand.

Blame Carter for starting the Family Housing Act, then blame Clinton for pressuring the banks to grant loans for the Family Housing Act…that is what has just killed us. READ !

  48. Arshe says – reply to this

Thanks for showing your smart side here (cough) actually Clinton started the snowball rolling with lowering the requirements for people to purchase new homes it use to be you had to have at least 6-10% down to own a new home and fannie may was forced to by all the bad loans the banks where making with the new low home requirements. The large demand and low supply due to clintons new home buying rules drove the market into a sellers market and people where charged outrageous prices and there went the banks and there went peoples homes. Anyhooooo isn't it nice how touchy feely good intentions pave the road to hell. All clinton wanted was for poor people to have access to homes without having money down and look where it got us. Politicians need economics degrees wonder how many have them lol

  49. Arshe says – reply to this

What scares me is the ignorant masses are voting now and controlling our future, they listen to fox news and silly crap from people like perez I hate dumbArses! To many

  50. 50

What took them so damn long to announce it????

  51. 51

The blame lies squarely on the shoulders of Barney Frank and Do Nothing Pelosi. Pelosi is an embarrassment to Democrats and humanity

  52. 52

    asshole i hate him

  53. 53

Re: Jules242 – Besides isn't congress mostly democrats? I do believe so. People educate yourselfs, this s**t has been in the works for years, not just 8 years. So if you need to blame , blame ALL of government. They have screwed us for years, they were worned but did nothing. They are has bad if not worse then the banks, and the automakers.

  54. 54

How come no one was thanking Bush a few years ago when housing prices almost tripled, and people were flipping houses like pancakes and making tons of cash?!?!

    I can't wait for 1-20-09 because if it's not fixed on 1-21-09, it'll be Obama's fault! CAN'T WAIT!!!!

  55. 55

I blame Bush for trashing a surplus of money and putting this country down such a deep dark hole of no return.

  56. 56

Re: Hate Low Class PeopleRe: MP
You are sooooooooooooooo right on this one.

  57. 57

Not just his fault there are alot of greedy assholes in this world….

  58. 58

If you understood anything, you would know that the economic crisis blame should be placed largely on congress (which was/is a democratic majority) and much less of the blame should be placed on Bush. I'm no Bush supporter or fan… but at least get your facts straight, Perez, and try taking a Political Sci 101 class before you start placing blame & political propaganda on your celeb gossip site.

The president can do very little without the approval and/or support of congress. So for everyone who voted for Barack because you thought the Repubs were the ones who screwed everything up, you're going to be sorely disappointed when you realize the Democratic congress is mostly to blame, and they won't be able to anything the party/candidate promised because there's no money to go around right now. Have fun everyone! I can't wait to see how many people stop wearing their Barack shirts and taking their "Support Change" stickers off their cars. The next 4 years should be fun.

  59. 59

Re: MT Buckets – They are the next in a long line that will ask for a bailout. Mark my words.

  60. 60

Re: topper – um… maybe because Barack is only the President ELECT right now, not the president. He can't do anything right now.

  61. 61

maybe we could blame the democratic congress

  62. 62

One final thought to think about, the Republican's are the ones who should and are upset with Bush, because he caved to the Democrats and was really a Democratic President.

  63. 63

Re: sarlah – He's still a Senator, and has a voice.

  64. 64

Have NO FEAR BOOOOOOobama is on his way….
    he will give you …………
*INCREASE your TAXES and GIVE to the UN….just b/c he CAN
    *VOTE…."PRESENT"….if the jobs too tough
*WAVE the white FLAG of SURRENDER
    *part the SEAS
booobama will FIX IT ALL, he PROMISED US, HE WILL FIX IT ALL

  65. 65

Re: Ma the meatloaf – right…. a senator who hardly ever showed up to vote or actually make his voice heard. sounds dependable.

  66. 66

    Re: ???
    Actually it was WW2.

  67. 67

Its the DEMOCRATS in congress that ran this country into the shitter!

  68. 68

Wow Perez, you are REMARKABLY stupid.

  69. 69

Re: MatsMoe – Is he going to bring back the free gov't cheese, too? LOL!

  70. 70

Re: nubsy – wow….i dont even know where to start….im just gonna leave this one alone i think……yeah….i think so……..

  71. jrnpp says – reply to this

The Democrats have been in control of the house of reps for the last 2 of Bush's 8 years. Clinton left the country with peace and prosperity (surplus).
Phil Graham, one of mccains advisers pushed through legislation in the early years of bush admin. to de-regulate the entire financial system. Let the financial institutions police themselves, look what happened. doh.
Bush is still screwing the country by removing environmental regulations for his BIG oil buddies before he leaves office.
Obama can't begin to fix anything until January 20th.

  72. 72

  73. 73

Re: topper – He is warming up his magic wand.

  74. 74

    Re: devil_dawg_wife
boooobama is checking the list of freebies for regular Folks

  75. 75

Blame them all. Blame the financial institutions for loaning money to dopes that had no intention of paying it back, blame the congress and senate for sitting on their asses and letting this happen. They all sat back and let this happen. The president does not make the laws you idiot. He can only sign into law legislation that is put on his desk. The Democrats and Republicans both have their hands in this mess. If you think Barack is going to fix it dream on.

  76. 76

You can't blame it just on Bush. The house dems are even more guilty for not intervening in dem bulwarks franny and freddy. This whole credit crisis has been building up over a longer period of years.
And the American public is to blame too. For borrowing to much and not saving.
But maybe the baddest boy was the FED for lowering the interest so much that people got far to much in debt.

  77. 77

Re: ??? – We had a surplus because of BUSH SENIOR. Just because we had a surplus when Clinton began his term doesn't mean he had ANYTHING to do with it. Stop pretending like you are aware of the economy just because you watched five minutes of MSNBC.

  78. 78

Blame Bush? Funny how our money problems started once the Dems took control of the House. But why would you blame them?? They support your gay marriage.

  79. jefdo says – reply to this

Blame Bush? Perez quit blogging about politics, you're only showing your ignorance. The democrats controlled Congress the past two years. The Democrats killed the Bush administrations push for the establishment of a government agency to add sticter oversight over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. This agency was pushed by the Bush Administration, 17 TIMES!!!! STARTING BACK ON SEPT. 11/03!!! John McCain co-sponsered legislation in 2005 to add sticter regulation and oversight on these companies! The democrats in the committee killed it. Sen Chris Dodd(D) head of the Senate Finance committee took advantage of the mortgage crisis by refinancing his two homes at an extra generous rate. Rep. Barney Frank(D) head of House finances said back in June that Fannie and Freddie were sound companies and no new regulations were necessary. So Thank you DEMS for the recession!!!! Blaming Bush for this just shows how clueless you are concerning our government.

  80. 80

actually its not bush's fault, and everyone who believes that it is his fault is retarded, the economy goes in a cycle, it goes up and down, when the ecomony is prosperous it can only go down. and that is exactly what happend. Obama is also retarded because he is a democrat and all democrats are retarded, and everyone who supports gay rights is retarded also.

  81. 81

Perez once again you are a horses ass. Nancy Pelosie made sure that blacks and brownie could get loans so that they coudl be like their white friends even if they could not afford a loan. Barney Franks was the clown that said the two Fed banks where solvent, even thou the Bush Administration adivsed to watch ther credit flow of money. Once again all the cock juice you drink/drank has gone to your LIEBERAL ass mouth. You are such a moron, have you ever told the truth about the Bush Administration other than twisting it to the Liberal point of view. SCUUMBAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  82. 82

Re: Vintage7787 – Not to mention that Franks "partner" worked at either fannie or freddie. That guy is a frickin loser .

  83. 83

ugh sorry but bush didn't do this alone… fucking democraps!

  84. 84

so what if it was like fight club and the credit card companies all went away, would that really help anything?

  85. 85

It took a democrat to get us out of the Great Depression
    Re: ???

Actually, the Democrat's policies helped PROLONG the Great Depression. Thanks for playing.

  86. jefdo says – reply to this

    Re: ???
FDR's policies extended the effects of the Great Depression by 7 years.

  87. 87

Blaming Bush for this just shows how clueless you are concerning our government. Re: jefdo

And how many other Americans are just as ignorant as Perez when it comes to understanding how their government works? The average american's knowledge of civics is nil. The scary thing is, these people are voting.

  88. 88

I think that there must be plenty of other people who have messed up……
