Camp Spears is trying to distance itself from the debacle at the London club this past weekend.
Sources close to Britney tell us….
- She was never scheduled to perform or appear at the club
- The promoters of the night falsely spread info that BritBrit would be there
- Not wanting to let down her fans, Spears showed up
- After it became obvious that the venue was unsafely over capacity and the crowds too unruly, Britney did go to the club's VIP area, where she stayed for a few hours and happily waved to fans down below

Anyway it was probbably not her fault, usually artists just go with what management tell them BTW…the "for the record thing" made me agree with perez. Britney looks sad, I do not think she was ready to be in the spotlight again, I also think she was pushed into it…the only moment when she seemed happy was when talking about the kids. And also, what does she have agaunst her father?
I predict she will be back in the mental ward in a year.

I knew that from the beginning, it was always reported as a RUMOR and I never thought she would show up, but media sources like yourself, spun it into a big debacle like she did this to piss off her fans, she only did it to make them HAPPY after all the shit shes been through and the press continues to put her through. I had a feeling the club was saying one thing (to get people in the doors) that Britney and her camp did not agree too. After seeing her documentary, I feel really bad for her. She loves her kids and she's still struggling with a mental disorder(bi-polar I think) so I give her props and hope that one day things get better for her.
Perez, could you please not jump to conclusions and intimate that Britney's ungrateful to her fans? There are two or in this case 3 sides to every story…one being her camp, another being the club promoters and lastly her British "fans" who wrote in to you.

People need to lay off of this girl, she is weathly and has worked hard, but she is not herself..(whatever that means) you can see she is doing whatever her management and father is telling her. She feels sad and not in control, people need to let people make mistakes and grow as people. Depression, fake friends, poor business moves and family problems plauge everyone, I couldnt imagine that in the "public" eye watching all the time. So, she might resent her dad right now cause her mom has used her as a cash cow…but it's what she has to do to gain any rights to her kids back, and move on. Im not a "Britney" fan persay, but I do know depression and people going through the moves of life. Perez, bloggers, paparrazi…need to lay off and let someone be. There are ways to do things….and people can hate or whatever, but ultimatley fame is fleeting and you have to be able to look at yourself in the mirror everyday.
i kinda thought that it was the club owners/promoters fault all along, it would make sense for them to hype up her appearance to get more people in their club. i doubt britney made any promises about performing or anything. she probably just wanted to have a good time that night and when the club heard she was coming, starting talking it up and the rumors of a performance started snowballing from there…

well, i have bruises just because i wanted to see her and she went to the VIP area rather than the Main Stage (the place where the people were that wanted to see her!) No one in the VIP room had interest in seeing her, else they would have been at the Main Stage. Don't forget that G-A-Y club plays this game a lot. They did it with Madonna, Kylie, the lot, so it was only natural to assume that she was gonna perform. I don't blame Britney, but what's the lesson to be learned? European Fans really wanna see her, so come on, add some dates to your tour.
