London-based Perezcious reader, Rich, just wrote to let us know that Lily Allen was on BBC Radio saying some kind things about Britney Spears on Monday:
When asked by Scott Mills in a radio interview just now, "what did you think of britney on the xfactor"
She answered: "i love britney, I don't care if she mimed or not, we all know she's a mimer, and that's a hard song to sing live" and she added "I loved her outfit, she looked really good"…lilly also said that she went to club Heaven in london after the x factor, and saw britney but she said that she could understand why she didn't perform, she said that it was unbelievably hot, and there was people fainting all over the place.

Big deal. She has been saying "nice" things for a while now. The most shocking was about Girls Aloud. She was asked about her slag fest with Cheryl Cole and she actually said she is over it and she loves their risk-taking music.

In the London paper, it also says Britney's rep told them Britney was NOT supposed to perform but it was just a rumor!! She just planned to go out for her B-day and they had a cake for her at one of the clubs. They adored her in London, so quit making shit up, and trashing her.

So in other words, it's only important that a performer "look" good and it's less important that they actually be able to sing live, which would be an indication of some real talent, especially in light of how much people are expected to pay for some of these shows.
