Venezuelan Prez Cancels Cyndi Lauper Concert Because She Supports Gay Rights

What a buzz-kill!
Venezuelan "president" Hugo Chavez canceled the last stop on Cyndi Lauper's Bring Ya To The Brink World Tour in Caracas this past Saturday.
Fearing protest and personally disagreeing with Lauper's position on Prez-elect Barack Obama and gay rights, Chavez nixed the show - just like that!
Since the government has a death grip on the Venezuelan press, official information is scarce, but Miss Lauper herself is expected to make a blog post regarding the cancellation on her official site soon!
That sucks for all of Cyndi's Venezuelan fans!
They just wanted to have fun!

2. Chavez was democratically elected 2 times, and the elections were approved and overseen by many international voting boards who deemed Venezuelan elections among the most clean of any in the word.
