NBC To Name New Meet the Press Moderator

NBC's finally ready to pick Tim Russert's Meet the Press replacement.
Rumor has it that the peacock network will appoint its Chief White House correspondent, David Gregory, to the post as early as today, Tuesday.
Insiders say the network 'fears' that they'd eventually lose the California native if he were denied the 'prize' assignment, since Today or NBC Nightly News might not have a lead anchor opening for years.

i loved meet the press under tim russert's contageous boyish enthusiasm for all things political and beyond. i've been crossing my fingers ever since the unfortunate passing of mr. russert in hope of David Gregory NOT getting the meet the press job. he's a complete and total tool who will never be able to bring the positive and sincere energy that mr. russert brought to the table every sunday. i will be removing meet the press from my dvr line-up as soon as tom brokaw is done filling in.
p.s. i truly appreciate you including political and other non-celebrity-related topics on your celebrity gossip website. i am hopeful that individuals who might not seek out this information in their day-to-day lives might actually learn a thing or two about politics, philanthropic endeavors, etc. thanks.
