No good will come out of that money, it will totally be used corruptly. If we have to deal with the recession so do the stupid government
lets claim national bankruptcy and just start over. this ish is gettin old. hey, if everyone is getting bailed out, i shouldnt have to pay taxes. i have no debt, but these people spending beyond their means get REWARDED. EFF THAT.
This may seem like a very silly question but forgive me as we don't get a lot of press here in Australia re all these bail outs - but the U.S. is massively in debt - to the tune of billions of dollars - so where is all the bailout money coming from?
Oh please, if Perez was going under he'd have his hand out as well…….let them go bankrupt….that's the right business plan

Japan was faced with the same decision and declared national bankruptcy to clear the slate and start again. Is this an avenue the U.S. is unable to take for some reason?

If the US Gov instead of giving all this money to banks and companies … give it to the people … or get a list of bills, (i.e. mortgages, student loans, car loans, personal loans, etc etc) and then inturn pay off those things we provide … all those companies get money and we're free in clear and their not in such a bind!

It's just being printed up out of thin air. We are so going to have double digit inflation. It would require a tax burden on every american of 60-80% to pay off all this debt.

I'm starting to think the government has no intention of paying back any of the money it's borrowed. They are effectively destroying the dollar and eventually we will have to start all over. If this happens it's going to get really ugly in the USA because with the hyperinflation only the wealthy will be able to pay for the necessities.
I think that,China will own most of the US by 2012…..
