Tori Amos is on track to release her tenth album next year! And, she has a new record label!
The goddess and piano prodigy has just signed with Universal Republic Records, home of Mika and Wino, for the upcoming album.
And, us Toriphiles will get more than 'just' music from Miz Amos!
A press release says every track on the album will be accompanied by a corresponding ‘visualette,’ featuring footage that has been captured over the past year. Shot in HD and Super 8, the visualettes will incorporate a documentary style.
Look out for Tori's new tunes and visualettes in late spring/early summer 2009!
Can't wait!!!!!!!

If you actually research something you'll realise Tori goes back a long way, does many inventive and original pieces, and gives her audience (of which we are incredibily passionate and loyal) something special everytime she produces something. Let just see how long Lady GaGa lasts shall we?

I am knitting an orange scarf for my niece for Christmas..and it is very hairy Yarn- a combination of Acrylic and Mohair - I've seen Tori's hair that exact color…so I call it the Tori Hair Scarf! hehe..

Tori Amos is in my top five list of overrated musicians. If she speaks for a generation, then that generation must be complete idiots. Her lyrics are not poetic, they're ridiculous. DOWN WITH AMOS!
Re: ShakeYourkitty – She only eats food her personal chef fixes. If you grab a copy of, and read, her great book "Piece By Piece" (written with Ann Powers), or do a search of her many interviews where there are at least a few that have her explaining her food preferences, you will learn why.

Okay … so what do I think? I wanted to say YAY at first, but then when I read Universal-Republic I thought, "wait a minute … this is a "Major label!" Doesn't sound too "independent," to me. From what she said several months' ago, when she left Epic, she seemed pretty "free" to be independent. I guess it really stood for "free agent." Hopefully they can do for her what Epic and Atlantic couldn't. As for this visual/multimedia thing … I hope you can also buy it in a store as well as iTunes. I still love to collect some "physical" items, and it's kinda' hard to collect an iTune outside of a playing device.
