When your career is lagging, what better than to appeal to the nostalgia of middle-aged folks with an album of old-timey covers?
That's exactly what singers Cher and Wynonna Judd are doing!
Cher is reportedly coming out with an album of 60s covers because "it was such a magical time for music" and she wants to "pay tribute to a time when I used to listen to music on my little transistor radio," she says.
Quaint!
Wynonna's Sing, however, covers a broader range of genres, drawing on the likes of Hank Williams and Merle Haggard for her covers because "it's all me, its all part of the tapestry of who I am."
They should just collaborate and spare all the yuppies that extra 20 bucks!

What is with you? One moment you love Cher saying how great she is in her Vegas show, and then then next moment you trash her. Get a life! As long as Cher is making an album, any kind of album…then life is good.

Cher is only following the lead of Rod Stewart and Barry Manilow, who have top 10 records for a change with their cover records. Plus, the "Shoop Shoop" Song was a big hit for her years ago.
