These holidays are gonna suck!

I like your eloquent line "these holidays are gonna suck" but you just made a bunch of kids cry. Stop spreading gloom and doom. Not everyone is going to have a bad holiday. Even the people who have just been laid off are going to have a far better holiday than those in other third world countries. I was in the Peace Corps and I've seen REAL poverty. I feel lucky to live in America, even now.
still better than living in the south…
Enough already, Perez. We fucking get it!
The holidays already do suck. Mall Santas said that children are asking him for jobs for their Mommy and Daddy. How sad is that? How ’bout all the quiet layoffs in Las Vegas??
state street global advisors has already been cutting not surprised the bank is doing it too
BLAME THE CROOKS THAT MAKE OVER 100k A YEAR
letty…is this where your old man worked………..
1800 fucking jobs….MERRY FUCKING CHRISTMAS…..
Instead, they should shut off those hideous blue lights running down the side of their building in Boston, it is fugging up the skyline.
Re: Sharon Mirrors – listen, in boston 100,000 isnt a ton of money. its middle class. housing costs so much the salaries have to be inflated. blame the bastards combing in a half a mil per year.
Oh, so, SO much more than the holiday's are going to suck, unfortunately.
We have not even begun to see the ramifications of this economy — we are all now hearing of the layoffs, but few have begun — things will be much, MUCH worse by March or so.
-
This is the crisis of the 8 years of Bush — and it will get worse. And retard republicans will be blaming Obama - which is absurd.
Obama, or any democratic candidate, is the only chance of this country coming back to the people.
-
Please do not forget this — it was the Bush administration and republican congress that got us here.
-
(and pls. don't even try to blame the housing crisis on the few, and inexpensive homes that were foreclosed in the inner-cities — that's a drop in the bucket compared to all the homes foreclosing in the suburbs).
I do apologize for my "doom and gloom" aspect — we WILL pull out of this - but tighten your belts in the meantime. From an economic standpoint, we have not even come close to hitting bottom yet.
-
But, we WILL once again become a great nation - we were just lead down a false path for the past 8 years.
Don't feel too bad for the workers of state street. Over 3100 employees volunteered to be laid off and the severance package for middle and senior managers is about 250 k a piece. Most people are more angry that State Street just took $3 billion in bailouts, the pres is the highest paid man in boston, and they continue to give millions out in charity yet are using the crisis as an excuse to reorganize and layoff.
Welcome to the Hussein Obama economy my friends. Fret not. 1/20/12 is only 4 short years away.
I live in Boston and I'm an event planner and last year around the holidays I did a bunch of events at State Street. Now I know some of the layoffs are from the economy naturally but most of this is due to the fact that the State Street located in Boston's financial district is going to become the global headquarters and they're reorganizing the entire company at this point.. so I would assume that most of the layoffs are due to the change of course for the company rather than the terrible economy. Just a heads up.
Re: njpaul0129 – you are retarded if you think this started a month ago today.

i am laughing my ass off at your stupidity. i hate stupid people.
Well I still have my job… let's hope it stays this way..
And as for Shannon Mirrors - i hate the south is right: 100,000 isn't as much here as it is in other places.
What am I still doing here!? lol
Re: njpaul0129 –
Gosh, you're dumb! Did you get dropped as a baby? Or do you just have your head so far up Bill O' Reilly's ass that you've lost all touch with reality? Companies cutting jobs is a result of an economic problem that has been growing for at least a year. And you're pointing at Obama? You're an idiot. And you're not a patriot–you're just some ignorant, selfish, crybaby whose pissed that his candidate didn't come out on top and is now determined to live in the past and assign blame where it doesn't belong. Meanwhile, it's really important that we be clear-eyed and look at this recession as a collective problem for which we must hold ourselves and the government accountable. In other words, we have to be reasoning adults and put petty grievances aside. So get your head out of Bill O' Reilly's ass and smarten the fuck up. Or at least forget how to f-ing type. Loser!
