Tom Cruise took his little publicity pet out for a walk in NY on Wednesday, offering Suri up for photo ops with the paps.

And, the Xenu spawn sported a new accessory, graduating from the bottle to the sippy cup!

FINALLY!

Well done, Suri!

Pretty soon she'll be sippin' on champagne. And maybe one day she'll even wear a coat regularly when it's cold.

They grow so quickly!

      Who cares if she is wearing a coat or not. If she were cold and uncomfortable, they would know it. Some kids don't like coats and enjoy the cold weather. Cold weather isn't going to hurt a child unless it is so freezing cold they may get frost bite. But even then, the usually have to be exposed for an extended period of time. It ain't that big of a deal.

Funny, he had *adopted* kids for many years before he got his supposedly biological child and yet he was very, very rarely photographed with them - so frequently in fact that it quite easy for the public to forget that he even *had* any children. He was recently quote in an interview saying he likes Suri to be photographed so frequently so that she'll get used to having the press around her and so she won't be intimidated by crowds or photographers. If this were actually true, then one would have to ask why then did not treat his other kids the same way? Why does it seem like he hides his two adopted kids and now he's showing off this other child all the time in a seemingly very deliberate way, as if she were like an accessory or something. It's perverse the way he parades her around like a trophy.

      Ok, I am not a fan of Cruise but I can attest to the fact that it has not been very cold here in New York City. I teach in Harlem and I went outside without a jacket yesterday during recess and when I sent my students home. Also, you can't get sick simply by going outside with no jacket. Nor can you get sick by sleeping with your window open.
