Gossip Girl Spinoff

The latest Gossip Girl, uhm, gossip…is that there may be a spinoff in the works.
And that the show may use an episode as a litmus test to see whether or not to proceed with said spinoff.
A GG spinoff has been running the rumor mill for quite some time now, as the popular book series on which the program is based has its own published spinoff called The It Girl.
Sources say, however, that the companion program would neither be based on The It Girl nor its main character, Taylor Momsen' Jenny Humphrey. But, it would focus on one of the nine recurring characters.
The spinoff is in its earliest stages of development, but may be expedited since the CW dropped its Smallville companion, The Graysons.

CW needs to stop with the spinoff crap. Gilmore Girls was going to have some lameass spinoff about The Jess character going off to California (Lame, except for the Milo part.) So, they got rid of Rori's best BF ever and she had to end up with a Spencer Pratt wannabe and ruin it for all of us.

Vanessa. She is the only character, that people would care about watching, that could have a seperate story line without taking away from the orgional show.

The main character of a show has to be the normal person in the series, the supporting characters are the 'characters' of the show. Otherwise a show really won't work. Serena and Dan are the glue that holds the crazies together. But Chuck and Blair are my personal favorites.

PLEASE NO! grey's anatomy got a spinoff, and not only does it completely suck, but one of the best characters was lost for no reason. there is no one i like on gossip girl that i would be willing to part with, and there's no one i would be willing to part with who would be worth watching for another show.
i just spend every episode hoping they don't condemn gossip girl to the same plotlines as the o.c.

Despite the buzz, hardly anyone watches GG so how does a "spin off" make any economic sense?
And it couldn't be about Jenny because it is impossible to shoot around someone with a drug problem when they are the lead.

Ok basically the only possibility of a spin off other than Jenny Humphrey (spin-off book - IT girl) is Vanessa…. But i hope they dont do a spinoff but maybe in the future make the IT girl or The Carlyles.

Chuck is by far the best character on the show. I just read an article about him actually on thedopebox.com. I hate the idea of a spinoff because it'll probably be about Vanessa and she's SO fucking annoying.
