Knight Rider Breaks Down, No One Notices

NBC is putting the brakes on their new version of Knight Rider prematurely, bringing production to a screeching halt.
The show is being sent to the mechanic for a format overhaul, transforming it into more of a crime procedural.
The show will resume shooting in time to get out a few new episodes before its February 25th finale, but the fewer episodes means that NBC probably won't pick it up for next season.
Despite its retro appeal, the re-imagined KITT and Knight combination just could not cut it ratings wise.
KITT will just have to drive off into the sunset!

The show died for me the moment they chose a mustang. Add to that the lame ass transformer abilities, it looked more like a 30 min ford informercial, they can retool it all they want, that show is crap.

I loved the original when I was growing up. This version is stupid. Sadly, the new kid (Justin Whatever-his-name-is) just didn't have the spark that The Hoff did back in the day.
And Val Kilmer as KITT's voice? WTF were they thinking??? UGH! That should've been the original (William Daniels aka Mr. Feeny!!!). Or someone who can do actual V.O work.

Bummer, the guy starring in this show is my Cousin (by marriage; he's married to my Cousin, they both used to star on "All My Children" on ABC) and I feel bad for him!

NBC totally screwed this show up. It's like some bad James Bond wanna be. And KITT can morph pretty much into anything. So Stupid.

I won the Knight Rider GPS from Navtones.com on Ryan Seacrest's Radio show the other day. At least that's cool, I mean it's really cool, I love it! The show on the other hand is a bit, well, let's see, how can I put this…WANK!

NBC could make some really good shows again, the only porblem is they would have to fire all of the crappy staff. Since the turn of the century, NBC is basically producing N.othing B.ut Crap.!!! They don't write the shows well, they promote the shows, and when they get a really good show, Journeyman for instance, they cancel it and leave some crappy as show on instead. I feel this is bad writing and management…. Fire'em all, they seem too much like the execs at GM, FOrd and Chrysler.. I'm just about ready to just dump public television and switch entirely to paid tv, the programming is 100x better and they care about their viewers and the time we invest in their shows.
