Thanks so much for posting a link to SHH! It is an amazing cause not only because of the awesome work being done but the fact that it is all conceived, led and run by University students! People who can't donate should still follow this org because it is an inspiring thing to watch.
I go to Mary Washington and I hate Students Helping Honduras. They've created a monopoly on helping people, to the point that students are frowned upon if they choose to support any other charitable organization. I think if they really wanted to help people, they would stop taking every opportunity to harass students and trying to squeeze money from them like blood from a stone.
I love SHH. I'm hoping to go on a trip with them in the next year or so. Thanks for profiling them
What a pleasure to see Students Helping Honduras on here! I ran into some of their volunteers while on vacation this summer, and they showed me some of their amazing projects. They are literally transforming the lives of entire communities, and not just by giving them handouts–instead, they're using tactics of sustainable education and community change.
