According to Kanye West's blog, Black Eyed Pea guru Will.i.am will be producing some songs for the next U2 album.

Holy crossover!

Is Will.i.am trying to get some rock cred or are the Irish lads itching to go urban?

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Madonna recently did it, but would it work for U2???

      Didn't you notice when they added Black dancers to the cast of "Riverdance"?

      Hip-hop met the Emerald Isle many moons ago.

      Will.i.am is a talented producer, so this could be a good thing. After all, U2 has gotten a bit long in the tooth recently.

      And since when are you a music expert or a music producer??? Everytime you get paid to promote a group or a lame ass Disney kid you say they are the best so your taste in music is terrible compromised, therefore your opinion is blah!

      "U2"? More like "Poo Too." It's funny/totally retarded how the more generic and boring a rock band are (and they simply don't come any more generic and boring than U2), the more popular they are. People really are fucktards.

      Eww, gross. will.i.am annoys me to no end. He's one of those people who tries really hard to come across as artistic, but isn't very convincing when you actually judge his music. His ideas usually work pretty well for hip-hop and R&B, but I can't see him being helpful to U2. Of course, just because a producer is used for an album doesn't mean that all (or any) of their tracks will make the final cut. Even still……U2 is so far beyond him, musically, that I just can't see why they would look to him for assistance. Hopefully, the band won't use any of the music they record with him if it sounds amateur and doesn't mix well with the rest of the album.
