Since Lily Allen's latest rant can't be blamed on booze - she's allegedly sober - we'll categorize it as insecurity issues.
On Monday, the loudmouth British songstress lashed out at American singing sensation Katy Perry during a radio interview.
Here's what Lils had to say about dear Katy on the U.K. radio station Capital FM:
"I happen to know for a fact that she was an American version of me. She was signed by my label in America as, 'We need to find something controversial and kooky like Lily Allen.' And then they found her… I think the lyrics and stuff are a bit crass… When I met her I was bit frosty with her because someone asked her to describe herself. She's like, 'Aha, I'm like a fatter version of Amy Winehouse and a skinner version of Lily Allen!'. It's like, you're not English and you don't write your own songs, shut up!"
But, Lily, Katy does write her own songs!

It's kind of a unwritten rule that if someone calls you fat, you say some shit back, and that's what Lily did. Hearing Katy say that about other female artists makes her seem just as ignorant and catty. I like some of Katy's songs, but Lily has waay more substance and a much lovelier singing voice.

Katy is extremely talented and can sing live I've been to one of her shows and I'm going to another one in April. To those of you who say that her songs suck or can't sing live…. I'm sure you've haven't listened to all the other songs on her record or heard her sing live in person (youtube doesn't count) and probably never heard her play and sing the acoustic version. Do you research people before you pass judgment!
