      Totally scard to have a guy direct New Moon - I really don't think men "get" what Bella is going through in this part of the Saga. Oh and 50 million will not be enough for the special effects required in this sequel.

      I'm interested to see how the do the effects of Jacob changing into the wolf…..it better not suck!!!!! And to cereal….Perez can love it if he wants. It's not just for girls….I'm a 32 year old woman and I love it!!!! Then again it does help that Edward really isn't 17, he's 108 or something…. :) Any emotionally functional man could like these books. It's only the ones that are emotionally crippled that don't like it and are jealous….men should take notes actually. ;) All I know is that this guy better do a great job with this movie.

      I'm going to miss Catherine; however, I think this is a good move. He has much more experience with special effects and I think he'll do a great job. Hopefully, the screenplay will be awesome, because that's what will make or break the movie.

      Not trying to be rude or anything, but there's really no point on you guys commenting if your just going to bash out on Twilight–by saying that its sucks…"No likes its or…"who cares". *ugh*

      Ookay. er, I love how Perez is talking about Twilight…I love the series and the movie was pretty good, so I appreciate how Perez is uploading some useful things to know. Plus you can never get tired of Rob (what a hunk ;) Any ways I love Catherine, I love her style in directing…and I will miss her. But this movie should be more depressing and hard core since there werewolves. (shapeshifters) and we need some good and experience effects in the movie. Chris is much more experience, and he's will bring a whole other level.
      In my opinion…The first thing Chris should do is look for another Jacob.
      Dont get me wrong Taylor is a good kid, and he did justice for young Jake, but we need a man now! A sexy, TALL, broad man that doesn't talk like a like…like…um idk Taylor?

      Overall…I think Chris might bring the right environment to the movie..Edward leaving and some crazy vampire versus Volteri stuff going on. I just hope to god that he doesn't change TOO much stuff. I mean look what he did to the Golden Compass :[

      I'm over 14 and I enjoyed Twilight for the most part. I am interested to see how this guy will direct New Moon. I loved About a Boy. I loved American Pie. I haven't seen the GOlden Compass. It looked really fantasy. I hope he doesn't make New Moon too fantasy looking. I wish this new dude luck he's gonna need it. Also, I hope he keeps Taylor Lautner.

      OK, first of all, Hardwicke should have her DGA membership revoked for how terribly TWILIGHT was directed. Almost all of the problems with the performances could have been fixed with a director worth their salt. She absolutely ruined what could have been a really enjoyable movie. As for the casting of JACOB, there is no way that Taylor Lautner can pull off what is needed out of an actor for that part in NEW MOON. There is far too much focus on JACOB in the second book to have a so-so actor in that role, plus he isn't even close to the physicality needed. Remember the JACOB is supposed to rival EDWARD for BELLA's heart, sorry but that cannot be believably portrayed by Taylor. It is SUMMIT's fault for not paying enough attention to the casting of that part the first time around, they should have for seen the needs of this character in the inevitable sequels. It is unfortunate for Taylor, but let's get real, he NEEDS to be replaced!! Maybe this new director can explain to Kristen Stewart that BELLA is just shy and awkward, not a drug addict…

If Peter Jackson was able to turn Jonn Rhys Davies (6'1"!) into a DWARF for LotR, I think they could do something similar for Taylor. Just get the kid to the gym 6 days a week, work some camera magic on him, and he should be good to go!

      To be completely honest, if this chris guy would have directed Twilight in the first place, I'm almost positive nobody would have a problem with him doing the second since he would have realized it needed some improvements.
      Give the guy a chance. As long as he can read the book and really get into it like us Twilight fans, then he is on the right track. Not to mention, the cast will also put in their two sense if it is going wrong.
      I think Kristen as Bella makes the perfect part for this movie. She isn't completely gorgeous and has that low, shy feel. That's what it was suppose to be for the first movie, as long as she steps it up in the second, all is good. And if they are trying to get rid of Taylor, I think that's a big mistake. Just put some talls boots or something on him, it'll work. Specially since Rosalie has to wear stilettos or whatever.
      But the movie isn't suppose to be out until November 2009, so give them a break and whether people say they aren't going to see it, they probably will because no matter how mad you get, you are still a Twilight fan.

      Changing directors certainly worked for Harry Potter, so it doesn't sound the death knell for "New Moon". As for the haters out there, the Twilight books, like the Potter series, have young and old reading. There is NOTHING wrong with that. You're a judgemental, bitchy lot, thats for sure!
