Oliver Stone is Dancing With the Devil

Oliver Stone has an odd interest in politics.
First he does his George Bush biopic W. and now he's doing a documentary about Venezuela's dictator "President" Hugo Chavez.
Stone said "It's about Chavez and the South American revolution."
Stone was present this past February with Chavez during the rescue of the hostages from the Columbian FARC group.
Though the documentary won't focus on the rescue, it will show "the opposition Chavez has faced at home and abroad, especially from the Bush administration, which has been vocal in its distaste for the populist socialism espoused by Venezuela's president."
Somehow we just know this flick is going to suck.
Especially since it's about Chavez!
Stone's been working on the movie for about six months already and hopes to have it ready for next year.

Why would it suck any more than W did? Bush and Chavez are exactly the same kind of not-very-bright, easily led, ego driven character. They both had bizarre ideologue mentors (Bush/Cheney, Chavez/Castro). This new flick will just be "W" minus the coke problem. And I do agree with 'youre so gross', Perez can barely discuss the politics of the entertainment industry with any intellect, national and international politics are definitely not his millieau.

The reason why Cuban Americans are so despised in America is because they don't want to be here. They want to go back, pull another Iraq on America's dime, and throw everyone out into the streets again, and have on elite ruling class. Oliver Stone can suck Hugo Chavez' dick all night long and make a movie out of it and I STILL wouldn't watch his shitty movie.

Perez this post is so absurd.
The only basis you have for calling Chavez a dictator is the fact that the US does not like him. The reason Bush doesn't is because he controlls 1/3 of our oil supply and doesn't like playing along with the United State's imperialism. The fact that you would call him a dictator is a prime example of ethnocentricity. Just because he is not like other leaders doesn't mean he is a dictator.
Chavez is democratically elected and despite the fact that he has been in power for so long, he is still IMMENSELY popular throughout Latin America.
Keep criticizing Chavez. Maybe eventually people will listen.

I would have loved to have seen Chavez and Stone's face when they found out about the rescue of the Colombian hostages. The ironic thing is that the Colombian FARC a known terrorist organization is in part funded by Chavez. My question is will the rescue of these individuals be in this movie?
Will he mention that Chavez is a DICTATOR? For those of us who dislike Bush at least there's an end to his reign. Not so with Chavez, Mr. Stone.
