Reports keep circulating that Guns N' Roses singer, Axl Rose, is suffering from Anthropophobia.
Basically, that means he's afraid of people.
He's done the nasty with countless groupies and he's afraid of people???
How do you go from groupies and orgies to suddenly being afraid of everyone?
Talk about a bad trip!
But, insiders are saying that recently it's gotten worse. And with the release of his Chinese Democracy album you'd think Axl would be out promoting it, but that's not the case.
One source says Axl "has fired his management company, Front Line, three times in four weeks. He hasn't left his Los Angeles home in two months. He won't give interviews, won't do talk shows, or perform - which makes touring or promoting very difficult, obviously."
Sad.
A rep for Axl counters, "He has not been diagnosed with anthropophobia. He hasn't fired Front Line, and no interviews have been canceled."

Axl is a very eccentric guy. In one of his music videos he actually acts out his phobia of people when he hides in a shower while cops are searching his house and he's in the shower in his clothes.

I believe I don't really give a shit. But I also believe you take mental issues way too lightly, which sucks. Someone such as yourself who pretends to give a shit about different causes should be a little more compassionate when talking about other's mental issues. I know they're celebrities and are subject to scrutiny, but for fuck sake have a little heart.

Sounds like Agoraphobia to me. He needs to go to a doctor and get the proper diagnosis. I don't know his whole story but I'm POSITIVE that is what he has. Staying in your house and not leaving because your afraid of people, such as awkward situations, running into places or people that would trigger his past drug abuse. Keeping the doors locked at all times, never opening the curtains. Basically feeling safe only in your home and feeling exposed or having panic attacks when you go into public. You feel like you have to have a "safe" person with you. Such as a parent, a sibling, any family member, or in rare cases a close friend. Your mind just picks one person that makes you feel safe and that person is the only one you will leave with everyonce in a while. Someone who can get you out of a situation or take you home if you feel insecure or unsafe. That is agoraphobia. Sadly enough some people don't have that safe person. I hope he does. I spent nine months without leaving my house. I don't know how I did it. But slowly over time I got myself out of that. It sounds completely insane but if and when it may happen to you. It is anything but understandable
