A-listers make commercials in foreign countries regularly because they can make $5 million smackers in a day. They get flown to Tokyo in a private jet. Boo hoo. DeNiro hawks Italian coffee. Brad & Leo hawk Japanese beer. So what. They give tons of this money to charity.

Actually, Cameron Diaz also is contracted by Softbank. And Scarlett Johannsen does coffee commercials and so does Tommy Lee Jones. His are pretty funny b/c in every single one, he's an alien ( a play on MIB). I live in Japan and the amount of Hollywood actors/actresses we have on TV here in commercials is amazing. The people here love it! George Clooney just graced my TV last night for some car commercial. Katherine Zeta Jones does car commercials too.Angelina and J-Lo have make-up commercials. Leo Decaprio (who they REALLY LOVE here) does car adverts too. The products they hawk change over the years but they make a shitload of money over here and don't really have to worry about the adverts showing up back home (though with the Internet, that's impossible). If you can get the Tommy Lee Jones commercials, they are worth a watch just for a giggle

In case you don't know, a life time of humanitarian causes takes MONEY. He doesn't expect to be in show business all his life, but he does want to do good works for others for the rest of his life. How can you,Perez, say he's whoring out? Blogging isn't exactly an honorable profession, but you do it and sell advertising space. I think you could cut someone who is really helping others some slack.

this isn't anything new Perez. Brad Pitt has been the spokesmodel for Softbank for a while now. He has an older commercial he did for them last year too. Angelina Jolie also does commercials for Shiseido.

You know the rich always want more. So greedy yet they try to justify their greed by flaunting their charity work because it makes them feel better for their greed. It's pathetic to me when I see these actors who make 20 million a movie selling some stupid product. Like Julie Christie said "these rich actors earning millions more by cheaply selling some wretched product, it's just greed, isn't it?"

As a french reader I have to react : it's a bit of a cliché of France. But it's also and foremost a great hommage to Jacques Tati's films, which obviously, the director for this commercial knew and Brad, with the vast cinematogrphic culture his known to haven surely know. So, i'll say : GOOD JOB !
