Must be tough on poor Papa Joe - no one cares about his daughters anymore, and the new cash calf doesn't seem to be selling well either.

I lived in that area - and I know its not a "hollywood" venue - but the Strawberry Festival is actually pretty massive and draws ALOT of people… so it's definitely not touring through Europe - but money is money and Plant City is COUNTRY baby!

It's a beautiful facility and they treat the entertainment like kings and queens. Hell the headline for the fair again this year is "Elvis Extravaganza Impersonator National Finals". The reason that Jessica Simpson tickets are so much cheaper and also the reason she WON'T sell out is that is the same night of Britney's concert in Tampa. Tampa and Plant City are like 15 minutes apart so it is essentially the same venue and some of their fans overlap. Britney will win this one easy-she'll sell out and Jess will be 1/2 empty. It was a poor scheduling choice.

Especially when the movies and albums tank, and the producers don't recover their money. money doesn't last long when you can't sell out the venues with ticket sales, and the artist has to pay the overhead with their own money. From what I understand, the over advertising on the cmt channel with her album and perfume also cost alot of money. she may have her shoe, handbag, and perfume line, but with a sagging economy and the cost of production and labor, i wonder how much money she is actually seeing, not to mention that fashion is a fickle business. And I was shocked to hear that Taylor (who I adore) 's tickets were going for $45. I mean, I know this isn't saying much, but I saw Billy Ray last year for $15.
