Paul Anka's Wife, A Husband-beater!

What kind of insanity leads someone to chuck a piece of ice at someone's head so hard that it splits his head open so badly that he has to go get it stapled back together?
The kind of insanity that exists between Canadian crooner Paul Anka and his 20-years-younger wife, Anna, that's what kind.
Some might call it "love."
During an argument at their Thousand Oaks, California home, some ice was spilled, and Anna - never one for conventions we guess - picked up a piece and lobbed it at Paul.
The ice somehow split his head open, requiring staples at the hospital. He called the cops when he returned home and Anna was nowhere to be found. When she came home, the fuzz made a connection between Paul's injury and Anna, and arrested her, booking her for felony domestic battery.
The Ventura County D.A.'s office rolled its eyes and threw out the case.
Paul said, "It was a stupid little event. It was nothing" and insists the couple is fine. Anna is just a little stressed out over some shiz with her ex.
So what kind of ice was this? Are we talking cubes, baseballs, or glaciers?
