Robbie Williams to Reunite with Take That?

takethat.jpg

A little over ten years ago, Robbie Williams said sayonara toTake That, the boy band that helped him become a household name in the UK, to embark on a solo career in America.

We all know how well that turned out!

We bet more than 1/2 of you reading this don't even know who the hellz he is!

Anyway, for the half of you who might give a damn, it looks like Robbie's swallowed his pride, has tired of trying to make contact with aliens, and has said that he's open to rejoining Take That, who are still going strong in the UK. In fact, their latest release is on its way to selling 1 million.

In a recent blog post Robbie wrote, "I'd love to be in the band again but I've got some unfinished business of my own… We got together a lot over the summer. It was amazing. We've all matured a lot since we parted. I'm very pleased to say the differences we've had have just melted away. We had a lot of serious chats. Everything we had problems with just boils down to one thing - victims of circumstance. No one was wrong, no one was right. After they left, I felt like a tonne of bricks had been removed from my shoulders. We'd put right what an awful lot of other broken bands fail to do."

It looks like the band may be warming up to the idea of a reunion with Robbie. Current Take That member, Gary Barlow, told the Sun, "The band has been having great fun with Robbie and we've been talking a lot. It's been really good getting to know him again. He has sorted himself out and is in a really good place at the moment. It's great news that he's decided to come back to the UK. I've always loved working here and wouldn't want to be anywhere else - and I've been telling Robbie for a while now that he needs to move back. I think the time is right for him to come back now. I don't think the US is the best place for him to be. This is where he thrives and moving is the best thing he can do for his career. He's got a lot of unfinished business here and he'll be back to his best in no time if he comes home."

Enjoying the humble pie, Robbie?

There are so many holes in this story:
1)Take That are a huge band across the world and are extremyl talented. Gary Barlow is one of the greatest songwriters in the world today.
2)Robbie Williams has sold over 70 million records…thats not far behind Britney Spears who Perez regards as a superstar…and Robbie did it in a shorter time frame. You dont have to be popular in America to be a world star.
3)Mark Owen(the short one) is not Gay as some people have said. He is married with kids.
4)Perez has obviously chosen to pick one of their earlieest Pictures when they were a struggling boy band. Listen to their music and let it tell the truth. For anyone that hasnt heard of them check out youtube and look up Shine, Greatest day, rule the world all by take that. There are many many more huge hits. Wake up America.

Re: mallaka – …..There is a reason they are not big in America….
      .
Because Take That are cheesey as fuck…their music sound like you are reading a hallmark card out loud or something (LaPuke)……..
      .
that shit just doesnt fly here anymore….if it ever really did…..
      .

      You go Mallaka!
Also Robbie Williams did not move to the States to make it there. He left Europe to hide from the European "press" and extream attention of anybody. Robbie is the European Britney, though Robbie DOES write his on music and Robbie IS a fantastic performer (without being drillerd by dozens of producers and choreographers and then still be shitty like B-Spears)

I dont get the thing about slaggin people off if they're not big in America… its not the world…

Take that were huge back in the day… Robbie was huge when he left.. Take That are big again… just cos its not in America doesnt mean it doesnt matter

    11. 111

man, i want to lick all of their armpitts one after the other.

    12. 112

Perez knows all about Robbie's solo success. So, why is he pretending he doesn't? Play coy much, Perez?

TT is popular in the UK but RW is popular everywhere else.

    13. 113

uh robbie williams has been REALLY successful actually and only tried to break into the american market later in his career (here i agree with pff, but i disagree with his/her taste as the kings of leon aren't popular because they suck and the strokes' songs all sound the same…killers are good though and wildly popular here…interesting he/she would point out our taste in music when eurovision type pop trash regularly tops their charts) anyway i believe he sold more albums than another other solo artists in the uk, had sold out tours and signed a crazy recording contract and is worth nearly $200 million

    14. 114

ahh..amazing. haha i heard about Take That only like 2 years ago, and became 'sercretly' obsessed for a period of time. I would looooveee to see this happen! :D

    15. 115

Robbie may not be anybody in America but the rest of the world loves him!! He's been successful thousands of times over as a Solo artist while the rest of Take That languished in the doldrums. Hes doing them a favour by returning not the other way around. Do your research!

    16. 116

Re: DaisyBaby – ’tis true there is much to dismiss on the American airwaves, but I find RW to be in the same league of dismissability…

    17. 117

I only know him from "Cribs.

    18. 118

Who are these kids? By the way Robbie is a annoyinly disturbing as he is a skanky male whore. Cant stand. I could never marry a male whore…oh damn im living in L.A. that just might leave me single! gulp! :(

    19. 119

I am American, and basically Robbie Williams is all I listen to anymore. Neither Take That NOR Robbie Williams needs the other one. It would be fun (for a TT fan, which I am not) for RW to surprise the crowd once or twice in concert with them so the English fans could get a treat, but I think his clout would over power the show. Kind of like how he was considered for the lead singer for Queen but was ultimately passed over because of his popularity. Not all of us Americans are clueless as to popular Brit music. I prefer Brit pop to the crap on American radio any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
