Badly written letter - I don't know what school you attended — if ANY, but you have no skills as a writer. NONE. A bunch of strung together thoughts does not make a coheasive letter. It reads more like a shopping list. ACTUALLY, it sounds like a letter to SANTA from a 2nd Grader.

Horribly written Perez. You should have put more time, and effort into it. I suggest that you take some college literacy courses. It will also help you along with many grammatical and spelling errors I find on this site. The letter angers me. It is a letter to the future president and all you can do is string along some words and hope that it creates something patriotic? I hope that this is just a first draft in the many that you will write- and I hope that you can articulate yourself better in versions to come.
I love the message PRez…but remember that you're talking to a lawyer. There's a little too much passive voice in the letter, and it comes off as uneducated and weak. No offense; just offering my objective criticism for the next letter you write to the President of the US.

Change his own personal view? That is pathetic. That is what he believes and he should not change his beliefs just because some gay blogger thinks he should. A man that changes his beliefs (like you have done repeatedly) is not a man.
He has already said he doesn't agree with Prop 8 and he would never push for an amendment to define marriage. He has done more than your darling Hillary. If you can't be happy with that, you're the one that needs to change something.

'Separate but equal' was establised to segregate black children from white children in reference to education. They were actually forced to attend separate school. Somebody tell me how 'separate but equal' applies to gay marriage? Perhaps a separate line at the county clerk's office? I think "different AND equal' would be a more fititng description.

This letter actually isn”t that badly written, but i was dissapointed to see that you asked Mr. Obama to change HIS views on gay marriage. President-elect Obama became historical on election day. He is our first black President–he's not of color..that seems to imply he looks like a rainbow. California has always been the most progressive state in the union. What happens there definitely does not stay there. If the people of California voted against gay marriage, there is probably no other state that would support it. The CA people voted. Why should President-elect change his views?
