Hard Candy flopped HARD! It sold, what? 600k+ copies in the US? She even went on tour and promoted the hell out of it, while last year's Blackout sold pretty much over a million copies in the US, without an ounce of promotion. Not to mention Blackout is a much more incredible album than Hard Candy. But it's hard to call Madonna over-rated, she's had such great albums such as her debut and "Music," and songs like "What It Feels Like For A Girl" and my most favorite dance song right now "Give It 2 Me."

Agreed! I grew up during Madonna madness and even though all of my friends loved her, I never got into her. I think some of her early stuff was good, but I think she is incredibly overrated.
Though I don't think Britney is amazing either and was made from the same mold Madonna was, I do feel she is more relatable. She is not nearly as diva and you can tell that she's not putting on a "face" anymore. I applaud her for that!
