Rachael Ray Is Touched By God

It was reported a few months back that Rachael Ray has throat cancer and would need to get surgery soon. Her rep had orignally said, "Rachael is the picture of health. She is having very minor surgery to remove a benign cyst on her vocal cord. It's a common in-and-out procedure that she will have in early December and it will not adversely effect any of her daytime show or Food Network tapings."
Well, things have turned for the better for the TV personality.
Turns out she might not be needing surgery after all!
A rep for Ray says, "During the course of normal pre-op care, Rachael started an intensive new vocal therapy and it is now the opinion of her doctor that surgery may not be necessary. Rachael is very grateful that it won't be a silent Christmas and thanks everyone for their prayers and well wishes."
Rachael had even said last month that she'd most likely have to carry around a pen and paper to communicate with her hubby after surgery.
We're glad she won't need surgery, but kind of sad we'll still have to listen to her speak.
We bet her husband feels the same way!

She had nodes. You CAN call them cysts… it's why her voice is raspy, she has a growth on her vocal chords which are caused by a variety of factors including heavy use and improper speaking techniques. It's not cancer..
I had surgery to remove nodes after failed vocal therapy 4 years ago, and it's always the last choice.
