Paris Hilton doesn't waste her time!
After her rather recent split from Benji Madden, rumors are buzzing around a new romance with Scottish hunk Gerard Butler, whom she supposedly calls "Braveheart."
The usually public Paris, however, went to great lengths to avoid being photographed alongside her new flame at LA's Bar Deluxe on a night out.
Guess she is still feeling a little bit shy.
Update: A rep for Paris tells us the report from the Daily Star "is totally not true."
Nothing going on between Paris and Gerard.

Talk about jumping to conclusions of unsubstantiated hype in hopes of provoking a response out of Paris or her management. The vile baseless things you say about Paris tell me a whole lot more about you people than it tells me about Paris. I fortunately know better because I know her, and I definitely know a very different Paris Hilton than the one you people don't. I'm very happy and proud to be friends with her, and I'm glad for it.

This is SO not happening, Perez. I almost feel sorry for Paris. I think she was jealous of Nicole and Joel, and wanted to be just like them. But the Madden thing didn't work out. I think she is a little bit lost right now. But from everything I've read about Gerard Butler he is definitely not her type. He is totally down to earth. He is really intelligent. He's a well educated Lawyer. He is a recovering alcoholic who has been sober for ten years and wants to stay that way. According to his own biography, he's had a terribly time with drugs when he was in his early twenties. So he's been there done that. He is finally starting to get a chance to work regular, and with good actresses, and he is serious about his work, so he would definitely not want to party hop and travel and do mindless stupid stuff. And he hates the paparrazzi and Paris loves them. Nope. He's just not shallow enough or pretentious enough for Paris. She should get back with that Greek guy.
