Now that Britney Spears has had a successful "comeback" - all eyes are on Kelly Clarkson!
Will the first American Idol be able to reclaim her pop throne after her disastrous last album?
We hope so!
And, it's going to happen sooner than you might think.
Clarkson's new record is expected in the first half of next year, and she's already shooting the music video for her first single, PerezHilton.com has learned!
According to casting breakdowns sent out to actors, Kelly is filming her new vid in Los Angeles this weekend.
The song is called My Life Would Suck Without You, and it is produced by hitmakers Max Martin and Dr. Luke (Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Pink, etc).

Kelly has learned from her mistake and is embracing more radio-friendly fare!
The video is being directed by Wayne Isham and the synopsis describes the vid as a "Cute tale of romance from childhood into adulthood."

Can't wait! Kelly is my fav artist EVER. My December was an amazing CD and got great reviews. Perez should be the last person to judge something based on its commercial success. Most of the artists he supports sell not even half of what Kelly sold with My December.

My December was a really good CD, and sonically, very similar to Breakaway, so I don't know why Perez thinks it sucks so badly. The lyrics were personal to her, and it was an album she wanted to make. Why does making "radio friendly" fare make her a good artist. It is just as impressive to make an album that doesn't sell super huge, but has importance to you. I hope she always follows her instincts, and doesn't release just music that is suited to sound like everything else on the radio.
Personally, I liked her last album but I am really excited to see what she does next.

My December was no where near a disaster! I mean it did go platinum after all.. It sucks that they hold Kelly to such high standards and expect everything she does to sell over 5 million copies… But whatever, any true fan understands Kelly and understands what My December was all about.. Maybe she does it because she loves doing music. Maybe it's no for the money. I know that might be hard for some of you ignorant people to see, but there ARE a few artists out there, like Kelly, who are in the business because it's what they love to do. Not just to make money. Kelly, whether or not she was famous or had a record deal, would still be singing and writing music.
And as for Carrie…I've been able to meet her several times. I met her a little while after she won Idol and she looked really good. Everytime after that, she just kept getting skinnier and skinnier. Last time I met her, she looked almost anorexic. She's a beautiful girl, but anorexic looks good on no one.
