Blame The Economy! Canadian Idol Won't Be On In 2009

The financial downturn and So You Think You Can Dance Canada is putting the kibosh on Canadian Idol. At least for the time being.
The show won't be returning in 2009, and while it hasn't been officially canceled forever, this recent news does not bode well for its future.
It is possible the show may be resurrected, as Idol in other countries has taken similar breaks only to return strong.
All of our friends up North will now just have to be stuck watching episodes of American Idol.
Auditions are over, or we'd encourage Canadians by the droves to audition!

Considering the high crime rate in Canada it is not safe for contestants to try out for the show. Now if only American Idol would be canceled too this world would be a better place!
GOOD!!! I watched it the first season and was so disappointed with the quality of it. Very substandard. I think that this genere of show is coming to an end.

That's the best thing I've heard about the economic crisis, the cancellation of Canadian Idol. I am a proud Canadian, however, that show makes me hang my head in shame!
Oh well! I'll just watch American Idol instead.
