Anything that J. K. Rowling touches turns to gold.
That's probably because, as the world's richest author, she's basically made of gold.
Her charity book, The Tales of Beedle the Bard, has quickly become the year's top-selling book in both the U.K. and the U.S. Which bodes well for Rowling's co-founded Children's High Level Group (CHLG) - a charity dedicated to helping at-risk children in Eastern Europe.
Chief executive of the CHLG, Richard Alderslade, is thrilled with the book's success because "the project will certainly raise a huge amount to fund our work."
Seven copies of an edition of the book of fairy tales from the Harry Potter world were hand-written and illustrated by Rowling herself. Six of them were given as gifts while the final one was sold at auction for $4 million for charity.

She deserves every last bit of it. She's one of the greatest writers of our generation.
She is an inspiration to all single moms out there! I love the Harry Potter series and everything & anything that comes with it…The Tales of Beedle the Bard is a great little fairy tale book that compares right up there with our classic tales!!!
