A source tells us that Kanye West is getting a little help from music's current golden child Rihanna.
Seems that "great art" might need some "great help" because the dynamic duo has re-recorded a version of Paranoid off of Kanye's latest 808's & Heartbreak.
The track is slated for a January release.
Desperate times call for…Princess RiRi to the rescue!

When your career sucks, ask someone to be on an album with you and release it as a single. That what Madonna did and she hasn't had a hit single since "4 Minutes" with Justin Timberlake.

i don't know why people think rhianna is so great. she used to be crap when she first came out. all she did was got a stylist, cut her hair… and people helped her write and produce songs. honestly what is so great about her?? i'm not a hater but come on people, she is not that great.

Re: Pwn3d! – well DUH!! radio airplay is how they compile the hot 100 (80% airplay/20% single sales) so if radio wont play u, its HARD to get a hit. thats why madonna got justin, cause they WILL play him. the system isnt fair and doesnt create an equal playing field like it did back in the day when u HAD to release a cd single to qualify on the charts. they need to let SALES determine what is a hit, not by what radio exec's decide is a hit.
Kanye West helping Rihanna? Please Perez, 'Princess Riri' as you call her is in no musical position to help Kanye. She's a gimic, she can't sing, she can't write - the only way she sells albums is with a haircut and skimpy leather outfits! Kanye doesn't need any help - 808 and heartbreaks didn't sell so much because that's what happens when artists experiment. If he needed any help I doubt he'd reach out to Rihanna - unless it was to pick out some spiked gloves.

Re: magicmike – If they let record sales decide what's a hit, many of those "hits" that are played not wouldn't play because while some people have great music, their overall album sucks and doesn't get bought. There would be nothing but "Now That's What I Call…" artists played a lot because each time they put out an album, it's in the top 10.

They should let requests from listeners decide (depending on the style of music played on the radio. I don't want Jazz on my Country station) what's played. There are many radio stations around the country that does a "countdown" during random hours. If you ever pay attention, you'll notice those top 10 or 5 songs aren't songs played during the day. Fans want good music, not the crap like Jonah Sisters played every other hour. In fact, in LA on KIIS FM (#1 hit station in LA and ratings proves that), the "Jonah Sisters" has never once made it into their most requested but they do play them.

People get upset because one thing is played over another. We know that but until they actually let listeners (not record sales or radio producers) decide what's played, people won't have a hit again that deserves it. BTW: Madonna's album blew chunks so that's why she didn't have another hit.
