Princess RiRi is going to ring in 2009 with a compilation of remixes from her double platinum Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded.
The album is slated for a January 27th release and contains 12 tracks, 2 of which are remixes of her ubiquitous Umbrella.
We can't wait!

Remix albums are filler, they're just something there if the artist has nothing else to release and they have to do something about it. I was never a big fan of remix albums, but I would end up getting them because I want some party jams. I think I'll get this one, along with the Maroon 5 one. The Maroon 5 remix album has some pretty unique remixes on it, not typical dancey ones. But yeah, I'll get this when it's released.

My biggest concern about Good Girl Gone Bad is that it's been such a huge hit and RiRi has been milking it like crazy (I mean, a re-release AND a remix album?), her follow-up is bound to bomb. It's gonna take a miracle for her to have that kind of success again.

This is just half of the European Deluxe release. I had these remixes since 2007. Next (album)?!

My goodness! When is Rihanna coming out with ANOTHER album?! what's with the re-releases and remixes? You can still do that and put out another album. Rehab was like my favorite song…two years ago! and now she released it a couple of months ago with that awful video. That makes people not care about the product at all.

This compilation is not new. A similar version (minus the new tracks in her reloaded album) of this was released internationally together with the album version when the album first came out 2 years ago. The record company is LATE in releasing this compilation !

they do it for 2 easy reasons:
1. Money
2. Certifications (Platinium). riri hasn't sold more than 2 millons copies. so, they know that fans are the only ones who buys this crap.

FAns always buy this crap! and they get certifications! so with the next album, they will say: riri has a 3xplatinium album!! 5 world wide number 1 hits! and she is here, presenting her new song from her new album "shitty money business", the pop "princess (you wish)"… Rihannaaaaaaaa!!! and the crowd screem, and you know.
I think it's disgusting how these artists continue to RE-release albums, by adding a few remixes and then release an entire album of remixes of songs everyone already has. Yet, people continue to buy them? Amazing.

Almost all of these remixes were included on the Australia Special Edition when she first released the GGGB album - it included 12 remixes all up. There's maybe 1 or 2 new ones, but the mixes of Haunted, SOS and Cry are all missing. I'm all for remix albums between releases, but can we at least have an album of all new ones?
