Katie Couric Might Be Back In The Race With Sarah Palin To Thank

Katie Couric might be back in the game, thanks to a little help from Sexy Sarah! (Remember her?).
Though her anchoring gig on the CBS evening news still find her in third place behind NBC and ABC, her overall viewership was up for the past 4 weeks, with last week's newscast performing better than any preceding it since her move from NBC's Today.
After an initial poor reaction, it seems that people are willing to give Couric another chance.
It's also been suggested that Katie's "monumental" interview with Sarah Palin may have also revived her career. Sarah's obvious lack of preparedness during the interview provided ample fodder for Tina Fey's hilarious impersonation.
They're also saying that bad weather might have also worked in Couric's favor, with more people staying in and watching television.
Couric ain't out of the woods yet, but senior vice president of CBS News, Paul Friedman said, "It is certainly better than the alternative."
