Gilligan's Island creator, Sherwood Schwartz, and his son, Lloyd Schwartz, have signed a deal to bring the beloved sitcom to the big screen.
And the pair want the infectiously charming Michael Cera to play Gilligan.
He should SO do it!
As for the "Movie Star"? The Schwartz have their eyes set on Beyonce.
Who should round out the cast????

First off, this movie should NOT be made, but if it must - Cera would be a decent Gilligan.

Ginger - not so sure at the moment who but NOT Beyonce
Mary Ann - Rachael Ray, Zoey Deschanel or Michelle Ryan
I really like Michael Cera's work but I'm not sure he would be well cast in a movie adaptation of the TV show. This role should be filled by a physical comic, and while his timing is impeccible, I've never seen Cera perform pratfalls or even 'mug' for the camera. One possibility for the role is Zac Efron. Yeah, I know, I'm sick of him, too. But if he has any comic ability, and I think he might, this would give him an opportunity to show it.
