Oprah Got Duped Again!
If people are going to write "memoirs" and lie in them, then they shouldn't call it an autobiography. Call it a novel and save everyone a lot of time, trouble, embarrassment, and money.
Holocaust survivor Herman Rosenblat has just been dropped by his publishers, Berkley Books, after new reports show that his book Angel at the Fence, about how he met his future wife at a concentration camp was all a lie.
Rosenblat's book was scheduled to come out in February but has now been canceled. A rep for the publishers said, "Berkley Books is canceling publication of Angel at the Fence after receiving new information from Herman Rosenblat's agent, Andrea Hurst. Berkley will demand that the author and the agent return all money that they have received for this work."
The 79 year-old Berkley lives in Miami with his wife, Roma Radzicky. The two became famous in the 1990s when he started talkigng about how he met his wife. According to the couple, the two met while he was a prisoner at a sub-camp of Buchenwald in Nazi Germany. Roma was a young Jewish girl whose family was pretending to be Christian and lived nearby the camp.
For months the two would meet at a barbed-wire fence and she'd sneak him in food. They then lost contact when he was transferred to another camp but the two met again in the 1950s when they were set up on a blind date in New York. They married soon after and have just recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Even Oprah Winfrey is a fan of the book, as she has interviews the couple two times over the past years. She even called their romance "the single greatest love story … we've ever told on the air." And their story even inspired a children's book along with a film adaptation scheduled to begin next year.
But just like Oprah got deceived with James Frey's A Million Little Pieces, the same has happened again. Even family and friends are jealous outraged by his lies and success from the book and story that even one of his brothers has stopped speaking to him.
Sad.

NO WAY!! I went to a Holocaust survivor's luncheon my senior year of high school and Roma was the speaker at my table (each table had it's own speaker)!!! She SO told us this story and had us all crying and loving her. I can't believe it was fake, she made it sound so real……..she should get an oscar, no doubt.

But then again some jews have been profiting from the holocoust for years. I am tired of isreal using the ho;ocoust to justify the imprisonment of palestine people. is it just me or is their parallels between hitler rounded up jews and housing them in camps. Isreal rounded up palestinians and but them in camps. the only differance is the ovens. instead ISREAL STARVES AND BOMBS THEIR PRISONERS. Publisher cancels Holocaust memoir over fabrications

(JTA ) — A New York publisher has canceled the release of a Holocaust memoir after learning the core of the story was fabricated.
Berkley Books, a division of Penguin Group, has also demanded that Herman Rosenblat return his advance.
Rosenblat claimed that a woman he met on a blind date in New York 12 years after World War II and later married was the same person who, as a Jewish child in hiding during the Holocaust, disguised herself as a Christian farm girl and tossed apples to him over the fence of a sub-camp of Buchenwald.
Rosenblat and his wife Roma Radzicki Rosenblat recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
While Rosenblat was interred at the Schlieben concentration camp, his wife did not toss apples to him, a scholar discovered.
“I wanted to bring happiness to people, to remind them not to hate, but to love and tolerate all people,” he wrote in a statement published in the New York Times. “I brought good feelings to a lot of people and I brought hope to many. My motivation was to make good in this world. In my dreams, Roma will always throw me an apple, but I now know it is only a dream.”

You are aware that there have been two Jewish temples on the site where the Dome of the Rock mosque now stands? The romans destroyed the second temple in 70 B.C. The first temple was built in 825 B.C. and later destroyed by the Babylonians in 422 B.C. So you see the Jews have been in Israel a long time and they were there well before the Romans. There is NO "Palestine".
