Apple's Steve Jobs Seriously Sick???

jobs.jpg

Is Apple's Steve Jobs okay?

According to a "solid source," the reason for his absence from the last ever Macworld is Jobs' rapidly declining health.

When Jobs' lack of body weight first raised eyebrows, they said it was just a "common bug." Bowing out of Macworld's keynote address has been blamed on Jobs' desire to retire…but could his health be forcing him into an earlier-than-planned retirement?

The upheaval in Apple's leadership is causing some distress, especially since Jobs singlehandedly resurrected the company with the sleekly designed iPod and iPhone.

We'll have to wait for the Macworld expo to see what Apple has in store for us! (And its own future!)

We wish Steve Jobs health and comfort during these difficult times. Hopefully the "reports" on his ill-health are exaggerated or wrong.

nope, this has been going on now for awhile, it's rumored that the pancreatic problems have returned, and looks like Jobs will focus on his health. This puts Apple in somewhat of a bind due to Jobs management style, ie my way or the highway..no heir apparent…on a personal note…tyranny..dressing down employees in front of others..and just being a jerk because you can..does have a price..

I thought he was suffering from pancreatic cancer. That's why he didn't make it to MacWorld.

In 2004, Steve Jobs announced that he was being successfully treated for pancreatic cancer. Yes, pancreatic cancer is bad news but he had a rare, far less aggressive type known as islet cell neuroendocrine tumor – whatever that is! The treatment for it included reworking he tubing and wiring in the main frame and stuff that processes food. I won’t pretend like I have any idea what they do in the procedure, but apparently weight loss is not an uncommon side effect of the surgery he had. The deal with him not being at MacWorld might be because he is sick, but look, there is a political fight that Apple has been having with the people who run MacWorld for years now and they have stated this is their last year presenting there. For instance, Apple hates to have to announce new products two weeks after Christmas. Apple knows they might lose sales in the Christmas shopping period because a new computer might be coming out in a couple weeks and people wait and end up not buying. The MacWorld folks won’t change the date. Based on that it really is no mystery why Mr. Pixar (aka Mr. iMac, Mr. iPhone, Mr. iPod, Mr. Disney’s largest Share holder) isn’t showing up for MacWorld this year.

I thought that an APPLE a day kept the doctor away?

    22. 22

It has been announced that next year Apple won't be taking part in Macworld expo. You know, it wouldn't hurt you if you read a newspaper once in a while!!!

its not exaggerated at all. he is a friend of my uncles. he has pancreatic cancer and although it is the slow moving kind. its extremely serious. he was in remission for a while but now its back.

    28. 28

I don't wish anyone ill will, but you have to wonder if being such a dick all these years is catching up with him. Cause homeboy is a truly an asshole.

I hope this isn't true. He was diagnosed 5 years ago with pancreatic cancer, which has a 5 year survival rate of 5% so he's already beat the odds. I wish him a healthy 2009…he's a wonderful innovator.

    30. 30

According to my sources, Steve pulled out of Macworld because the Apple stores and website give more people access to Apple products than Macworld can accommodate. This is not to say Jobs isn't unwell, but Apple's been pulling away from the "convention scene" for some while.

Fuck Steve Jobs. He just takes credit for what other people have done. I can't stand Apple products, they're such pieces of shit.

    32. 32

Surprised that your solid source did not report him dead just like Fidel Castro.

    33. 33

      he has pancreatic cancer.

    34. 34

"Buttercup! Buttercup! Don't you leave me!"
—-the NYC cop in 'Half Baked' whose fellow cop (a horse named Buttercup) dies, thanks to complication of diabetes– and a dumb ass stoner named Kenny

WHEN I'VE RECENTLY THOUGHT ABOUT STEVE JOB'S POSSIBLY UPCOMING WATERLOO, THE ABOVE SCENE FROM 'HALF BAKED' POPS INTO MY HEAD.

Uh, I hope he doesn't die… yet. There's probably a million great ideas that are still stuck in his head and that have not fully manifested themselves, so if he's dead, these ideas will probably die w/him.

    36. 36

God, i hope he's OK…he's the soul of Apple & has saved them from the sh*tter many times ++++++++++ vibes
