Mia Farrow's Daughter Passes Away

Lark Previn , actress Mia Farrow's 35-year old adopted daughter, died last Thursday following a long illness, according to the New York medical examiner.
Vietnamese-born Lark was the first of many children Miz Farrow would adopt over the years.
Mia and her former husband, musician Andre Previn, adopted Lark in 1973.
A wake for Lark was held in New York on Monday.
The exact illness has not been disclosed by the family, but it's been reported that she was sick for about a decade.
Our thoughts go out to Lark's family and friends.

Sorry, she's my idol coz she played Rosemary's Baby.
Lark was born blind and was a sickly child, her health hadn't been good for ages, so this comes as no surprise. I think they were surprised she even lived into her 30s. So sad, though, as she was one of many adopted children that Mia and Woody have. Prayers go to Mia, Woody and all of Lark's adopted brothers and sisters and their friends and families during this time.

Someone said that other day that she was the original Angelina Jolie - I don't know if I'd totally agree with that (does that mean Brad will marry Zahara in years to come as Woody did with Soon-Yi?) but it is never easy for any parent to lose a child, even if it seems expected as this was.
My heart goes out to them.

I heard many many years ago that Mia Farrows daughter had AIDS. Very sad.
I hope she had a good life.It sounds like she has been ill for a long time. If it was AIDS though, they shouldn't be secret about it because there is already such a nasty stigma surrounding it. At least that is what I thought because of the "ten years" thing.
It was not her real daughter anyway. What kind of name is Lark!

I feel so sad for poor Mia… to lose a child is the most tragic thing anyone can go through I hope she has good family around her and draws strength from her other children.From what I can see she's a wonderful mother, and has been through more heartache than most people will in their entire lives.She is a beautiful person inside and out and if more people could have just an ounce of dignity that she has the world would truly be a better place.

Because of that I can never watch a Woody Allen film again. Ever. One of the best celebrity bio books I ever read was Farrow's "What Falls Away." Required reading. She really is a saint for what she's done for her family, and for her present activism on the situation in Darfur. A true legend.
