Jade Goody Spent New Year's Eve In the Hospital

No celebrating for her, unfortunately.
Cancer-stricken Jade Goody spent NYE under the care of doctors.
The reality star has been unable to shake off an infection of the flu virus and her white blood cell count fell dangerously low following chemotherapy to fight her cervical cancer.
And, she will undergo an emergency operation today, Friday, to repair a blocked kidney.
The flu virus infection resulted in the development of a kidney blockage. Left untreated, this could lead to kidney failure.
A source close to Goody says, "Doctors will see how she feels afterwards before deciding if she can leave hospital. Because she is so prone to infection, every op becomes more serious than it would be for a healthy person."
Poor Jade.
