Madge's Malawi Donations Going Through LA's Kabbalah Center?
Before the New Year, we mentioned that Madonna's donations to her own Raising Malawi foundation was MIA, as was the $3.7 million reportedly earned from her fundraiser with Gucci and UNICEF.
Well, Perezcious reader Martha emailed us to point out to that the funds for Raising Malawi are probably being processed by the LA Kabbalah center, so they may not actually be 'missing'.
Huge Madonna fan Martha donated via the Raising Malawi website and the charge showed up on her credit card as "THE KABBALAH CENTER 310-657-5404 CA".
Why do the Malawi funds have to go through Kabbalah? Does it become more blessed with tax breaks or something?
We wonder how much of the $2.6 million donated by Madge to the LA Kabbalah center is actually going to Raising Malawi.

The Kabbalah Center created the nonprofit called raising Malawi, you can see it on their website, that is why the funds are going through the Kabbalah Centre, it is their Charity Organization. it was created even before Madonna adopted David, the Malawi orphan. so there is nothing wrong with that.

Atually, individuals who are founders of a non-profit are limited as to how much they can give to that non-profit annually. HOWEVER, individuals are unlimited in terms of how much they give their church. So, she probably can actually give more money to the organization if she gives through a religious institution.

Raising Malawi is a little-known scam, and all of the details of the thievery and "displacement" of donations will be sold to People magazine next month.
So my brother-in-law runs "The Whole Wolrd Improved", which is a non-profit that also helps out the peole of Malawi. He has worked with Madonna's so-called charity and talked to me about her lack of responsibility months ago. He travels to Malawi every summer with a group that he organizes, and on his trips, he goes to different towns and talks to the people about thier needs and sets up diferent ways of getting them the necessities that are lacking the most. Madonna's oraganization had committed to giving help financially, and when the funds were needed, he could no longer get in contact with anybody from her charity, that he had been communicating with for months. Basically, she made alot of promises, and didn't follow through on them. The people over there are suffering terribly, and she has the means to help, and, even worse, had committed to help, but she isn't. So awful

I'd actually demand a refund and find a better and more reputable place to donate.
