Sarah And Bristol Palin Speak Out

As we mentioned earlier this week, the pregnant teenaged daughter of former Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin finally gave birth to a son, Tripp.
The underage and unmarried couple are reportedly getting somewhere in the neighborhood of $300,000 from People magazine for the baby photos!
So, being the good grandmother that she is, Sarah took to her Alaska governor website to speak out about everything. In a statement, she says, "We are over the moon with the arrival of this healthy, beautiful baby."
She did, however, add a short message to warn other young couples to be smarter. She says, "The road ahead for this young couple will not be easy, but nothing worthwhile is ever easy. When Bristol and Levi first told us the shocking news that she was pregnant, to be honest, we all at first looked at the situation with some fear and a bit of despair."
And then the devout Christian turned to God. She said, "Isn't it just like God to turn those circumstances into such an amazing, joyful blessing when you ask Him to help you through?"
As for Bristol Palin, she did what any good politician's daughter should do. She released her own statement about the negatives of teen pregnancy.
Bristol says, "Teenagers need to prevent pregnancy to begin with — this isn't ideal." Adding that she had to set aside "plans she previously made for herself" in order to take care of her son.

While I am not in any way a fan of Sarah Palin's I will give credit where it's do and say that I admire her daughter for speaking out on teen pregnancy. However, I still think it was wrong of Sarah to go for vice President and throw her daughter under the bus in the process, knowing the unwelcome attention it would bring to her pregnancy. I felt so sorry for her as she stood on that stage trying to hide her bulging tummy.

They could have easily decided not to keep their baby, but instead did the right thing by accepting responsibility and now they're parents of this precious little baby boy. Good for them!! You know life hands you difficult challenges most of the time and a lot of good can come from a bad situation. I commend Palin and her daughter for not only standing under the pressure of the public scrutiny but handling it the best they can considering the miracle that is coming from the situation. My hats off to them. I to was a young Mother and I would not make different choices if I had to do it all over again. They are truly blessings and it's taught me to be a fighter, to be strong, and made me who I am today. Only the strong survive and I wish them all the best the world has to offer.

Why not mention Alaska's 50th year as a state celebration and all the foreign leaders there this weekend, Jan.3,4 2009? Did you know Alaska is 2.5 miles from Russia's Big Diomede Island? Russia's far east coast IS near Alaska's far west coast. Sarah does business with many foreign nations and especially Russia.
