Hudson Will Not Be Performing For Obama

As we mentioned last week, reports claimed that Jennifer Hudson might be singing the Star Spangled Banner at Barack Obama's inauguration on January 20th.
That would have marked her first public performance/appearance since the horrible murders of her family.
However, we've just found out that won't be happening.
A rep has just confirmed that “There is no truth to this."
J-Hud must still be needing some time to get better.
We would have loved to watch her perform at the inauguration, though.
So now it seems her first public performance will still be on February 6th at the MusiCares Person of the Year event in Los Angeles honoring Neil Diamond.
We can't wait to see her then!

Seriously… Do you guys honestly enjoy her singing? I don't. I feel bad for what happend to her fam, but there is a reason that only one of her songs made it to the radio meanwhile her album has been out for two years. I wouldn't want her singing at the inauguration. Plus, why make her the posterchild for black violence survival? Really people. Give it a rest.

Jennifer is a beautiful and talented individual. Although, I completely disagree with the fact that she could possibly sing at our future president's inauguration. We must all admit, if there wasn't such a tragedy in her life, no one would think twice about her singing in front of Obama….and that is just the hard truth. She is talented, beautiful, smart, and has gone through much more than she should have ever gone through. And my heart completely and utterly goes out to her.
