It Snows In New Mexico???

Who knew it got that cold there???
That's A LOT of snow!
Julia Roberts has made her personal life - specifically her kids and family - her priority these last few years. Acting has gone on the back burner.
To that extent, the Pretty Woman lives in New Mexico most of the time and this past weekend she was spotted in Taos with all her kids.
Though daddy Danny Moder was noticeably absent, Roberts was joined by a family friend and her son as they took twins Hazel and Phinnaeus and youngest son Henry to the local playground before a trip to the pizzeria.
The whole family seemed happy to frolic on the snow-covered ground and Phinnaeus and Hazel took turns singing songs as they made their way back to the car with the nanny.
How normal….and sweet.

OF COURSE IT SNOWS IN NM! NM HAS FORESTS, MOUNTAINS AND DESERT! we have the best weather, cold in winter & hot in summer. atleast perez knows NM is even a state… a lot of people are stupid.

That's not a lot of snow. I woke up the other day and went out to start my car and there was snow up to my windows. That was in 1 snow fall. THAT'S a lot of snow.

One of the biggest snow storms i've lived through was in new mexico…and I'm from NYC and lived in Alaska for a couple of years (military travel).
Its embarassing how ignorant most Americans are of their own country. I gets cold in New Mexico because most of it is high elevation and its not near any water to warm it up. Plus they have mountains as others have pointed out. You never heard of skiing in Taos? Not that you would know where Taos was if you had heard of it…dumb fuck.

I went to Taos, NM at the beginning of October and there was snow. I am from TX and had never been that far up and was not expecting it, but LOVED IT!!! And the ski resort was great.

I live in New Mexico…IN THE MOUNTAINS at 7,600 ft in elevation and I can assure you it SNOWS in New Mexico. We recently received over a foot and a half of fresh pow-pow. It's SNOWING right now! You should do your research…New Mexico is a beautiful state, it's truly "The Land of Enchantment."No wonder Julia chooses to have a home here.

o yea it gets really cold in new mexico. ive been snow skiing in santa fe several times. not the best skiing, but its decent enough. taos, new mexico has some pretty awesome skiing from what i hear.
I think the problem is that some see New Mexico as a barren desert like in a bugs bunny cartoon.
What a dumbass… That's where some college kids from Texas and Oklahoma go skiing. NM has closest ski resorts; its no Switzerland. But, it does the job. I miss it:(

Oh Perez. Of course it snows in New Mexico. I really wish people would learn more about that fabulous state. And don't listen to that idiot Jessica Alba - there's much more to do here than go to Walmart. New Mexico has skiing, hiking, shopping, art galleries, museums, and more. It's a beautiful albeit forgotten state. (And yes, ignorant Americans - New Mexico IS a state! We even speak English there!!!)
Erg… We're in the center of the freakin mountains up here. It's snowed a lot in the last 3 weeks. Just cuz it's the southwest doesn't mean desert. Look at a freakin topographical map.
It snows quite a bit in the mountains here…not so much in most of the state though. But yeah, the whole state tends to get pretty chilly.

taos is a ski resort, dumbass
taos is a ski town. it is located on the enchanted circle highway. There are three ski resorts on this highway as well as a cross country ski area. Surrounded by national forests and tiny ski towns like Angle Fire and Red River. They call it the enchanted circle because the whole area is encompassed with mountains! It's really beautiful out there and you are really missing something. It can get really cold and can snow a lot so watch out. But, if you don't like hippies at all I wouldn't recommend it at all. I believe she lives in the nearby town of Arroyo Seco, it is closer to the ski area but not in the heart of town. She was probably visiting Taos Pizza Outback, they have the best basil pesto salad dressing and amazing pizza.
of course all thoes ski area are where the tourists travel, mostly Texans, If you want to better ski area not to far away is Wolf Creek in Pagosa Springs, CO.
