The Obama Girls' First Day of School!

On Monday, flanked by Secret Service, Michelle Obama accompanied daughters Malia and Sasha to their first day of school at Chelsea Clinton's alma mater, Sidwell Friends.
The Obamas arrived in D.C. more than two weeks ahead of the inauguration so the girls could start classes alongside the other students, who returned from winter break today, Monday.
The soon-to-be first lady has previously said her children are her first priority and that she wanted their kids off on the right foot by having them start class with everyone else.
Michelle and the girls have been in D.C. since Saturday.
President-elect Obama arrived 'home' on Sunday night.
The Obamas are resting their hats at the fancy Hay-Adams hotel until they can move in to the White House.
That Bush blowhard won't let them move in early!

I hope the girls have an easy transition into their new school. It's so hard to switch schools in the middle of the year and have to make new friends. President Bush won't let them move into Blair House early because it's being used by foreign dignitaries. I'm sure if it were available he'd let them move in early. Calling President Bush a blowhard is unfair.

The President-elect and his family will be able to move into Blair House on the 15th, which is tradition during a change of Administrations.

There's a White House "guest house" of sorts that Laura Bush said they couldn't stay in. They asked if it was available to get the girls ready and settled into school. No one ever said they were going to the White House itself early.

The Obamas will have access to Blair House, just like all other first families have, on January 15th. Why was Obama elected?
Everyone says it is because he promises change.
1) Every president promises change from the last.
2) Obama has appointed the majority of his cabinet from the Clinton Administration.
3) Has anyone in America heard his plans of HOW he's going to change it, or is he miraculously going to enter the white house and everything will be changed?
4) Does anyone realize how long it takes something to be changed in America? A LONG TIME.
