Spike Lee, who is usually known for making controversy, is now just making complaints.
He claims he's not "rich-rich" saying, "Rich is Spielberg. Lucas. Gates. Steve Jobs. Jay-Z! Bruce Springsteen. I'm not complaining. But that's money. Will Smith. Oprah Winfrey - that's a ton of money. Compared to them, I'm on welfare!"
Oh really? Can welfare afford houses on the Upper East Side and Martha's Vineyard, and private school for the kiddies?

I taught his daughter Satchel swimming lessons in NY a few years ago. She was surprisingly laid back & normal, especially compared to some of the other brats I taught in the same class (yes, she took a semi-private class, not 1 on 1). I remember asking her what she got for Christmas & expecting a ridiculous list, but it was normal (American Girl doll, barbies, etc….) Spike Lee has made some great, thought provoking movies, but he definitely isn’t making Spielberg money.

Oh Spike, stop it. Nothing worse than someone crying "poor" while being anything but. Be grateful for what you have. Do you know how many of your fellow Americans are hungry, have their heat shut-off, had absolutely no Christmas celebration, and do not even have one dollar to take a local bus ride, etc etc. I know. I see it everyday in my social services job. Shame on you.
Spike needs an attitude adjustment. We are all past his brand of "entertainment". We have to overcome "differences" and start supporting equality and look towards the future, not the way it was or is. We have a new leader, but have to realize it will take all of us TOGETHER, Spike Lee has to change his message of negativity. It's not helping my patriotism as long as Spike is cranking out his bull shit. The man is talented, but playing the race card gets tiresome and doesn't accomplish anything.
