Mother charged with not dressing baby for cold
A Nova Scotia woman accused of not properly dressing her nine-month-old girl for the cold is due to appear in court next week.
Bridgewater police have charged the 26-year-old woman with criminal negligence causing bodily harm.
Police launched an investigation after someone reported that a woman was carrying a baby outside at around 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 27.
It was –9 C at the time, and the baby wasn't dressed for the weather, police were told.
Bridgewater police said the baby wasn't responsive when officers arrived.
The little girl was treated in hospital for injuries to one hand and released to the care of her father.
The woman is scheduled to appear in Bridgewater provincial court on Jan. 14.

She isn't the only canadian on the site and I find your post extremely offensive. -9 is cold for a baby, but you don't actually live in canada so you wouldn't actually know what the full story is or what's going on. The child in question was also suffering abusive like injuries,and is actually healthy now. It is important for children to dress warmly especially in canada, and the mother should be punished for this type of abuse because it is cruel. This doesn't excuse the mother for what she did, but do not attack the canadian school system, the american school system isn't perfect either (um hello spending money on expresso machines? NICE). Also most criminal activity in north america comes from the united states, so maybe i should attack your country's educational system. ( Not all American's are like that, most of you guys are so nice and I absolutely love your country's culture). YOU don't live here therefore YOU do not have the right to judge our educational system.
Finally. For babies -9 is cold, but for adolescent and adult canadians that is nice and warm… summer weather!
