Josh Brolin Gets Slap on the Wrist For Louisiana Cop Showdown

Back in July, actor Josh "W." Brolin, his W co-star Jeffery "Colin Powell" Wright, and members of the movie crew were arrested in Shreveport, LA after a celebration of the movie's completion got a little out of hand at a local bar.
As we've previously mentioned, cops were called to settle a disturbance caused by one of the movie's crew members and actors Brolin and Wright were pepper sprayed/arrested when they tried to intervene!!
Today, Tuesday, lawyers representing Josh appeared in a Shreveport court on behalf of the actor to face the misdemeanor charge of interfering with police during the arrest of his W. buddy. He faced up to six months in jail and/or a fine of $500 if convicted as charged, according to the city's prosecutor's office.
Well, the actor was granted a district attorney's probation. If he goes until March 11 without getting in further trouble, the charges will be dismissed.
It's reported that the others charged in the incident also got DA's probation, with no court costs or fines assessed.
Shreveport went easy on the Hollywood kids!
So, is it safe to assume that there's truth to the claim that a video of Shreveport cops yelling a racial slur at Wright exists?

It's very safe to assume that! I was there and the cops did in fact called Wright a "n i g g e r!" They should actually prosecute the cops and have them fired. In this day and age, there is no sense in that!

as some one who lives acrpss the river in the "good" city, this pisses me off some what. hell, i get a speeding ticket ( if i drove that is) i would have to pay a fine and court costs. this is another example of those who are rich and famous not having to pay anything for the trouble they caused. NOW about the racial slurs. i am almost one hundred percent positive that some of the shreveport cops would do something like this. there are not a lot of white cops on the force over on that side of town. the mayor is black, the police cheif is black and i would bet my life on it deep inside they both are reverse descrimination artists. ( which means they act like they like white people, but they really dont) before any of you think that i am a racist, that is so so so far from the truth, so dont even go there. its just how things are in the south. or hollywood south as the inbreds ( the white people) like to call it.
You dumb shit, what you fail to point out to your readers, is that they have to keep their noses clean until March, thus, discounting your theory of a tape existing of the cops yelling at these knuckleheads. The DA's office must feel that they have enough to convict them, but didn't want to bare the expense of an undoubtedly long trial for a misdemeanor offense. And, the attorney's for Brolin obviously felt it was a fair deal for their clients or they would have never suggested them to take it!!!!
Chose your battles in other words, something you should also do, but never will.
You know so little about the criminal justice system, it's so insulting to those of us that do.
The only reason this is still going on is because Shreveport has been exposed as the racist southern community it has always been. There is a line that is slowly being erased by our future Presidency. We have to embrace the changes, we have to stop resisting walls of difference. More importantly, we have to unite, and love one another, for we are all unique; we are a treasure.

If you take a look of the video on TMZ of the incident, you would not say Shreveport went easy on them, especially Wright who was repeatedly tasered by the police while already under restraint. I hope Brolin and Wright now file a civil suit against the Shreveport cops. Repeat, this was no slap on the wrist!
