Sorry Eva nice compliment but you just can't steal Kate Winslet's roles and expect you magically act as great as her. Winslet's mastering of those roles is what makes them so memorable. Look at the way she pulled off her Clementine character in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It takes an actress with skill, range and presence to do it otherwise it won't work well. Kate Winslet along with Meryl Streep and Cate Blanchett is the best actress working today. Perez should post more about her because well, we all love Kate Winslet! She's so beautiful, funny, talented, down to earth and cool.
I want to love Kate, I really, really do - it's just irritating when she warbles on about how "fat" and "normal" she is, when she probably hasn't been overweight or trainer/butler/stylist-free for a full 2 decades, as if it's supposed to make all us slave drones identify with her lifestyle. Just be a diva honey, enjoy it, and stop the vapid VF & Elle interviews!
…I would still like to see her win that Oscar, though, because I don't see anyone else in the running who'd deserve it more.
