Obama Wants CNN's Medicine Man to Be the U.S.'s Surgeon General!

CNN's medical correspondent, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, was supposedly offered the U.S. surgeon general position by President-elect Barack Obama.
Dr. Gupta also appears on CBS as a medical expert periodically.
Sources say the famous neurosurgeon nabbed the job offer after a two-hour meeting in November with the President-elect. Obama allegedly said during the meeting that Gupta could be the highest-profile surgeon general in history and would have an expanded role in providing health policy advice.
An insider revealed that the doc has discussed the job offer with his bosses at CBS and CNN to make sure he could be released from his contractual obligations.
That's some step up, Dr. Gupta!

Another shiteous appointment from Barack Hussein. Gupta is a protector of the companies that are fleecing the American public. He is pro-HMO and anti-people needing affordable health care. If you want to see what a dickhead this guy is watch him debate Michael Moore on youtube. Gupta is like his soon to be boss, a nice looking package on the outside, empty on the inside.
He is so in the pocket of big business, it's ridiculous!! It's so sad that he's being considered. He'll probably be just one big fat lobbyist for the pharm companies. We need change!!! Can't wait for Michael Moore's response.

Dr. Gupta is a bad choice. He smeared Michael Moore, making it appear that Moore had facts wrong that were actually true in Sicko.

Apart from being the handsomest man I have seen here in a long time, he is competent and knowledgeable. President Obama made the right choice. Dr. Sanjay Gupta is a very qualified individual who deserves or support not our criticism. He is American and has helped our soldiers in Iraq.
As far as Michael Moore goes he can go back to playing with himself. Sure he has brought the issue of health care to the for front as others have. He is definitely great on quoting numbers and stats, but where is the true solution ? The Canadian system - dealing with only 30,000,000 people and having its share of problems. Try 350,000,000 and see what happens. The Canadians do refer some of their patients to here. It's not perfect either, but yes it is better - let someone find a solution !

He is an assistant professor of neurosurgery at Emory University School of Medicine and associate chief of the neurosurgery service at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. Don't say me Emory is crappy university.
