I don't advocate heavy drugs (coke, heroin, meth…what have you) but I can udnerstand what she's saying if terms of weed. Seriously, there was no deep tragedy when I smoked last night and watched White Christmas. It was just a jolly old time. I go to school, I work, I'm a productive member of society…It's all about knowing limits and understanding recreation vs. addiction.

I've also had friends that would do cocaine and seem fine, but they're really not. They are hiding real pain and issues and it leads to other things. Someone who does, say, coke for instance….needs it or they will suffer for withdrawls right? Well, They do so much coke, they can't function at work, get fired. Guy has no money, now what? i think every person in my life was on drugs. last year they carried a dead out of the home of a friend, who was on heroine for about 20 years. she has had a job, she had a flat, but all went doenhill, slowly.
my ex' father was a cocaine addict, and smoked pot the whole day. he wasn't able to live on his own, by the age of 40. so his son (then 21) had to care for him, and guess what, became a cocaine addict. so funny!
the consequences of drug abuse may not be seen by someone who barely knows the person, but they are there, and i wonder if you've ever were in contact with someone who just took hard drugs while you were sober.
